Really, it's not worth bothering.


Supercomputers a million times faster than any Apple are working on the problem. Don't burn your systems out on this Sisyphean task.
The Folding@Home distributed computing force has now 480 petaflops. 3 times the power of IBM’s supercomputer array of 4600 servers.

Did someone got his gpu working with a Linux distro?
Recent distro’s work fine but don’t recognize my old iMac Radeon HD6770M neater...

Saw this post and a few others about Folding, always been interested but never took part before. But seeing as the COVID19 crisis is in full swing I figured I have a powerful Mac Pro sitting around much of the time so why not. I set up to join the MacRumors team.

Local radio station even invited me on to talk about it!
