One other thing I didn't mention is using a wired keyboard and mouse. The wireless mouse and keyboard wasn't recognized, probably because the boot sequence didn't quite get that far.

I was able to enter the password or the required key combination using the wired keyboard when I was unable to do that wirelessly.

Just one more thing to try unless you already have.

I tried but I have a wired keyboard and it does not light up:/ so no power at all.

I think it’s a sign because the new mac pros are coming.

Hello everyone, after reading this thread, I bought a W3245M (QS) on eBay for €266 (which arrived in 5 days) and I changed my 8-core processor, and apparently it's going very well (for now) with a very notable change in performance.
