David A. Cox warns his clients not to update to Yosemite

I'm using Yosemite. It works fine. No problems. Just because one person's opinion doesn't mean everyone's having issues
Why should any of us care what David Cox thinks about Yosemite?

Yes I like 10.9 just fine so I will wait and see. There sure is a lot of complaints on this board about 10.10
as it's been with every new version of OS X. so, some people complain, some ask for help, some assume apple is out to get them personally: leopard/mavericks/yosemite/whatever ate my baby/destroyed my mac/etc".
and still, a tiny percentage of the overall user base. most people update, or don't...and get on with their lives. here, we wallow in self-pity, defend apple like they were perfect...and everything in between. always a fun read!
do some research, make a choice, live with it. simple, really....

The program is with third party programs and sometime even Apple programs that are not update for the first offical verson of OS X. Heck I bet most here have never heard of MacUpdate.com to make sure their programs are update for the new version of OS X.
What I find is a lot of developers waiting for an offical release before upgrading their software. They do not seem to trust the Developer versions.
Plus in all my years I see a disturbing feature a lot of developers are doing. They purposely make their programs break at every new version of OS X at every OS X version and charge almost full price to fix thier program (see Parallels) or charge upgrade prices almost as high as their initial cost.
Lastly a couple of years ago a clever software shop created a program that would take modern Windows code and turn it into Mac code. A lot of shops did this and then Snow Lepord came and broke all that. A lot of people were burned on that one. Then their are third party hardware makers write really bad Mac drivers that break ALL your Data (see Western Digital for this one).
Plus David Cox doesn't even know howiCloud works with Apple's new data centers in NC and NV. He us that smart when it come to Apple. He seems to be just chasing the money Apple users have.

90% of my apps worked fine immediately in yosemite; some are not yet updated, and one has been abandoned.
not bad for a new OS, really...
I stopped watching after his complaint about RAM use. This guy has no clue of what he's talking about regarding OSX's memory management.
How long have you been a member here? Can you name any Mac OS X or iOS upgrade that didn't have a lot of complaints in the weeks following its launch?!?

If one reads from those that complain, it normally because of the following..
1. #1 reason...User Error. Lots of users mess up their own system, and blame Apple.
2. Download went bad. It happens
3. Bad programs that are not coded for the new OSx
4. Download Pirated software
5. Hardware issues.
6. Loads of garbage installed from other storage devices that went bad.
I'm a senior citizen, and if I can install Yosemite without issues, than one of the above reasons should be for those that are having them, but they won't agree to them. They just want to rant on....
Read a few threads on this forum that started out blaming Apple, than a few posts down, they come back to reply that they made the mistake or were not aware of something and just needed a little help in finding the solution or update. Or some never came back at all, when it was pointed out they were the ones that messed up....

Why "the hell" did you ignore an answer, which was given ten minutes before you asked the question?
Did it take you ten minutes to write "Who the hell is David A. Cox"; or were those seven words quickly typed then followed by nine-minute contemplation of how many question marks improve the end of a single sentence?
I have never knowingly been to Gosforth so I can't comment on that part of the country, and (by simply reading) I know that you're a retail manager with a notebook and a phone but beyond that, a lazy person might ask: who the hell are you and how much of a kick do you get from rushing to denigrate strangers?

It seemed to be a lazy nth devaluation of someone when it would have been more effective, quicker, and less wasteful of space to simply up-vote the posts that had asked pretty much the same question, ideally the post that asked it most politely.
"the hell" didn't add value to the lazy waste of space so I went off-topic to encourage some forethought in a style of writing that's not my norm. This, again, is not my norm …
