No regrets and overall I’m happy. The camera on the new Galaxy looks like it could be a game changer though.
Only thing better, is dating a girl (or married) that uses and loves the X.Same here.. Best phone I've ever owned.
Sure but to get .00000000000001" larger screen real estate you have to lug around a ginormous phone... PASS
That's an exaggeration. I had the iPhone 6 and 6s but went with the 7 Plus for a whole year and I quickly adapted. I never had any complaints about the large footprint up until a week before getting my X. I was convinced the iPhone 8 Plus screen would fit inside the X and it's a big lie. The keyboard buttons are smaller and content appears smaller too. Everyone's different but I think we can all agree 16:9 is way better than the narrow ass aspect ratio of the X.
Actually, costed me $1,319 in Canada. I couldve now bought the Galaxy S9 here for cheaper at $960 or the S9+ for $1100.

While it does seem the most popular feature on a PHONE is the camera, LOL, the most important feature on MY phone is, wait for it,I agree. Smart phones are expensive enough today where the consumer needs to ask themselves why they want to upgrade. And the most popular feature on any smart phone is the camera, Which can be enticing being how we all take pictures. I think the S9 and iPhone X camera comparisons will be interesting to see.
Not an exaggeration at all.. Look at them side by side. One is a large old looking dinosaur and the other is sleek and modern. Almost the same usable screen size in a much smaller form factor. If someone digs ginormous phones then cool, I won't hate on that but there is no way, no how I could lug around a Plus after using the X for a while. None, nada, zilcho...
Since the X never offered anything to really entice me... no regrets on not getting it. Yes, your implied cost/benefit argument came into play when choosing whether to or not to upgrade. Ultimately, I voted with my wallet.I agree. Smart phones are expensive enough today where the consumer needs to ask themselves why they want to upgrade.
