did you get your 17" C2D MBP yet?

Still waiting Shipping Notification

Still no word when 17" will ship. I think I got my order placed rather early. Hopefully, it will arrive soon. I paid $15 for express shipping to Chicago.

So we can all agree that no 17" (stock or custom) will be shipped before Nov. 7th? Mine was originally schedule for the 7th but I reordered with a printer and now it is the 9th. I guess is does not matter if it is glossy/matte or 160/200 GB as far as ship time.
 
Delayed in Tokyo ...

It seems that all those who have ordered the 17" have to wait. I ordered mine on the 26th and will probably see it sometime around 7th to 15th of November! That's what's happening all over.:cool:
 
Spoke with Apple Store Northridge (CA). Says they're hoping for tomorrow (11/1).

I'm on waiting list at a closer store (Canoga Park, CA), soooo.... :)

I might check in with them later on today.

I used my Bank card for the purchase the day the new c2d came out for the 17", but my card wasn't charged that day. When i called apple to find out why they said they couldn't charge it until it was ready to ship. This morning on my order status it had: 'Attention Required, card not authorized'. so i called my bank, extended the limit for the day, called Apple and had them charge the card. So does this mean that it is now on its way, today or tomorrow? or is there a time frame before shipping that they charge the account, 1 week?
This is my first Mac that i will have owned work on some at work and in the past, i am way too excited. Reminiscent of Christmas as a kid!! LOL
 
Money was pulled from my account the day I ordered, and came back after a couple days. I think they "reserve" money or something, to check if was can pay or whatever, but the money is "returned" if it takes some time before shipping.
My money is (unfortunately) still on my account now, so probably not shipping atm at least. :)

i paid with debit card, and my account was just debited this morning.

edit: this is pursuant to a 17" CTO mbp ordered day-of-release.
 
Just got off the phone with my bank and my Visa card has yet to be charged for my purchase. I placed the order on Oct. 24th about an hour after Apple had the store up and running. I did add the 7200 rpm drive and 3 GB of ram, so maybe my order is pushed back. Please post if you get shipping confirmation.
 
Ordered CTO on the 24th (glossy). I got the payment problem notification email this AM, as above. I had to call the CC company and tell them the charge was legit so they'd remove a temporary hold on the transaction. I called Apple to make sure the charge did indeed get processed. They said the charge had gone through, and my order had been "released to manufacturing", although it's not a BTO. She said the estimated ship date was still Nov 7th, but I expect a shipping notification soon (please!).

Mine has the 7200 rpm drive but the matte screen. It will probably also come with a dead pixel knowing my luck.
 
Seems like most everyone that ordered the 24th had ship dates right around November 7th. I've called Apple a couple of times, but no luck on finding out if they'll ship sooner...we all must wait!:)
 
My Mastercard acc't was affected twice today, 11 am and 1:24 pm. One apparently was an pre-authorization check and the other a charge. Tomorrow is the 7th business day, so I hope it is shipping tonight or tomorrow!!! Does anyone know the delay between charging and shipping?

First Apple Computer, very excited.

Ordered 4 pm on the 24th, est. ship date was always Nov. 7th and it hasn't changed.
 
Does anyone else have this long of a wait between shipping and arrival?
