yeah I got you included..

I think I covered most the people that have posted both info so far saying they have the matte or glossy and which screen model. im done looking through the forums, so i'll update the count as the replies come in

I returned my previous dodgy MBP (already included in your count) earlier and exchanged it for another one.

This one has the same display: 9C68 (matte)

The yellowing is FAR LESS noticeable than the previous one, however the bottom inch or so of the screen doesn't look as evenly lit and is a tiny bit yellowish compared to the rest of the screen. Another week 23 build.

I have one dodgy pixel towards the bottom of the screen, right in the middle though which is bugging me :( It looks greyish-black on grey/blue backgrounds. Can't see it on a black or white background though.

Am annoyed about the pixel, I know it's only one but the previous MBP was pretty much a lemon what with the yellowing + kernel panics issue.

Does my matte LG screen not count in the statistics over displays with yellow tint?

I just got mine from apple store today. My first mac and i was so afraid of yellowish you all ve been reporting

fortunately, as long as i m concerned, no yellowish that i feel in particular. For info, mine is

2.2 ghz ma895J/A
modelname: A1226
monitor 9c68
production week : 24 !

cheers:eek:

I provided this information in another tread but here you go for your statistical analysis.

Type of display: Matte
Computer model: 2.2Ghz
Screen manufacturer: LG
Manufactured Week: 22
Built To Order: No
Bottom 1/3 Screen yellow?: No
Screen Flickering at 100% brightness: No

This one is going back:

2.4 15.4" BTO with 7200RPM HD
Manufacturing week 27
Glossy screen LG
Calibrated with various profiles pilfered from this forum
Bottom 1/3 of screen still is yellowish and the backlighting is uneven.
Applecare told me to take it to a shop for a repair; the shop said make Apple give you a new one. So, after a second call to a more lenient person on the phone, got an RMA and back it goes.

Hope I get a good one in return, but I think it'll pretty much be a crapshoot.....
