Used my SE in my 2015 Ford Focus through the SYNC system today. Clear as a bell.
Out of curiosity, did you plug the SE into the SYNC system through its Lightning port to USB in the car?

As info, Apple Engineering called Monday and got all of the details of my issue. I went back to using a "launch day" iPhone 6.

Was this ever resolved for OP? I skimmed and couldn't see the outcome/
Nope, this issue has not been resolved. Lots of us talking about it on the Apple Support community forums as well. I've been working with an Apple Engineer getting them diagnostic logs and am hoping they find a fix soon.

I just wanted to add my 2012 Infinity G37 to the list and say that I did call Apple to report this. Tech walked me through updating phone, adding and deleting my phone from car etc...no joy, its still a bit distorted. I asked her to make note and to esculate it, told her of the few forums I knew where others had the same problem so she made note of that too. Hopefully it gets someone attention.

Heard back from Apple today and shockingly they have admitted that the issue is on their end and are working on a possible fix. It will most likely come with a software update in the near future.

They have received many complaints regarding this issue with the SE model - so thanks to those who have reached out to Apple and brought it up to their attention.

We can only hope that the software fix will come sooner rather than later. Time will tell.

Congrats on making the front page of MR.

This is what happens, when you take a iphone 5 case, and stuff it with components from a 5S, 6 and 6S.

Actually it's the iPhone 5s design - it has TouchID. The iPhone SE has never seen an iPhone 5 in its life, totally different.

I believe the display is from the 5s. Basically its a hodgepodge of components, some from the 5s, some from the 6s

While I am come across some articles I read that iPhone SE getting issues with Bluetooth on calls

Is anybody facing it and either you overcome this problem, if share how you overcome it.

Thanks

Congrats on making the front page of MR.

Thanks. Just noticed that. I'm glad this subject is getting the proper attention from a high profile site like MR (to inform others suffering from the same issue) and from Apple themselves.

Kinda bummed that this wasn't caught by engineering prior to the release of the SE. Something I expect from an Android device - not an iPhone.

Apparently, my SE is one of the ones that has had no issues. I connect to a 2015 F150 and both BT audio and phone conversations are clear as a bell.

Ken

Your SE is exactly the same as everyone else's....it's just the BT stack in your 2015 F150 is fully compatible with Apple's BT stack.

Wife and I have the SE and when I placed a call to her car from mine we also experienced the distorted audio.

Looking forward to a fix from Apple soon. Otherwise very pleased with the SE.

How bad the distortion is seems to vary by device. I have an older Jabra headset where it's just a little scratchy. With my Plantronics it's pretty bad and on my Kia it's terrible.

I called T-Mobile and the tech said there was nothing from Apple on the problem. He had me reset and restore which didn't help. I haven't tried doing it as a new phone without restore.

Changed from the 6 plus to the SE, and BT calls are distorted quite badly using the SE. Calls were clear using the 6 plus in the same car.
Luckily I only make the odd call, keen on a fix though if Apple can sort this.

Just as a test, I reset the phone again and started up as a new iPhone without restoring anything. I just did the minimum to connect my Bluetooth and test it. Verdict: No difference.

Bummed.

2013 Dodge Journey no issues here and with my skull candy Bluetooth no issues. Guess I got lucky.

I just got off the phone with an Apple tech and she was aware of the problem. She suggested a soft reset that actually worked. What you do is hold the home button down and the power button down until you see the little Apple logo. Release the buttons immediately, do not keep holding down buttons. That was it.

NEVER MIND! I was driving just a little while ago and tested it. Still sounds like garbage. Damn!!
