Does anyone know will Amazon charge me the new lower price when they process the order or do I need to cancel the order and reorder it with the new price?

I wouldn't assume even if someone claims Amazon did it for them. Contact Amazon and ask.

I think trying out a different phone / OS is a fine thing to do. Just hedge your bets and keep a back-out plan ready. You might love it or you might prefer to go back to what you had before.

Yeah I just now sent them an email through their website.

My plan is that because this phone is so cheap, if I don't like it I can sell it on for little to no lose.

then I'll just get the next iPhone.

Just now the price has dropped to €209.

My order hasn't processed yet and there are no pending chargers on my credit card.

However, under the circumstances, I have changed the price of the item manually to EUR 216.64 as an exception.

I know it's only €3 but still...

Its barely half a Guinness, but its the principal

Normally pre-order wise I've found I'm normally charged lower price if there is a price change from me ordering and its release. Maybe slightly different policy if its a released product, but fair play to them for doing the right thing and fair play to you keeping an eye on it and for asking too....

If it was already processed and a pending charge put on my credit card I probably wouldn't have bothered.

I thought they might have started the processing today but I guess not.

Phone arrived. Shipped yesterday from Italy. Can't believe it took less than 24hrs to arrive to Ireland.


Just had a look and it's gone down in price again to €201



Phone came with 8.010211.204

Just installed GDR2 8.0.10327.77

Now to set it up.

First impressions. NICE! Nicer looking than the GS3 IMO. Thank god no hyper glaze finish.

Will need to use it a bit more for further impressions.

I was very close to order one. Then I saw that there is no way to import my iPhone SMS messages to WP8 and that is a big No No for me...
Too bad. I was getting pretty excited about the whole WP8 thing...

he postal service in Ireland tends to be slow and parcels coming in from the UK can often take a week!!!!

So yeah its deadly surprising it arrived in 24 hours from Italy; when a small parcel can take two days to get from a Tralee to Cork..... Assuming it doesn't get lost along the way

Loving this phone so far. The screen even though in can see the pentile makes the iPhone look extremely dull.

Not sure about IE I think I still prefer Safari.

I still can't believe there are no volume options.

Still a mystery as to why some artist images show on the lock screen and not others. Not that it bothers me too much. Screen is off 99.9% of the time when listening to music.

No Sky+ app is unfortunate.

Need to find a web text app that works.

Need to find out how to sync iPhone calendar to the phone.

Music quality is very good. Possibly better than the iPhone 5. Definitely better sound quality streaming music to my hands free kit in the car. The iPhone lacked bass even with the extra bass EQ option. The Ativ has plenty without any EQ.

No option to have custom text sounds is a bummer and the phone only vibrates a couple of times then rings without vibrating.

Call quality and reception have been great so far.

So far so happy with it.
