When you create a bookmark, the bookmarks eventually piles up it gets really disorganized and you have to make lots of folders.

Then when you try to create a bookmark and bookmark it to a specific folder, it only shows a few recently used folders to choose from, so that you have to first bookmark it in just one folder and then later manually move it to another folder where it belongs.

I think we are being trolled. We have to be. There is no way this is a legit question. Ain't nobody this out of touch about how to use a computer.

I just remembered something I saw in some show clip once. It was a reality show about some unknown but rich American family, and their 14 or 15 year old son had about 5 brand new MacBook's, and his parents bought him 5 new ones every time a new model came out.

What did he do with 5 MacBooks? He loaded a different website on each, and that's literally it. Stunning, isn't it?

Decided I'd raise the dead instead of creating a new thread.

I had thought (and most web sites seem to agree) that the iMac 2017 27" had a max memory of 64GB. But then on eBay I spotted one with 72GB (apparently using two 32GB and two 4GB). Does anyone know if it would be possible to put 128GB in the 2017 iMac? Has anyone tried it?

macsales.com (OWC) says 64GB. They always find out the max amount, so I’m assuming it’s 64.

Yeah, that's why I said most web sites have the iMac 2017 limit at 64GB. But like I also said, there appears to be someone selling an iMac 2017 on eBay with 72GB, so I was wondering if the 64GB limit was just because nobody was able to get their hands on 4 32GB sticks and try it.

I would just ask the seller. My guess is that the seller is confused and the listing is incorrect. I can’t think of any sensible RAM configuration that would result in 72GB.

wut...

i'm stumped then
64GB + 8GB = 72GB. How is that confusing (other than 64GB being the supported max)

Looks like a few people have gotten the 2017 5K iMac to show 128GB but it isn't clearly if it is actually supported in macOS.

The computer has 4 RAM slots. I can’t think of any sensible combination you could install to get 72GB. Pretty sure it doesn’t support 32 GB sticks too.

Just what I was looking for. Thanks.
