i was watching a news special on tv which said stickers and customized license plates will greatly increase the chance of your car being stolen or broken into

stickers and license plates can tell the perp that you have money or stuff that may be in the car...it's astounding how many people keep their laptops, wallets, valueables, etc behind in their car...it's basically a free for all for criminals

after i saw the tv special, i took off all stickers from my car or anything that made it stand out in any way...granted, now it's a little bit harder to find my car in a huge parking lot though

I think that is why I have held off so far. My car is the Subaru Baja, so I have no trunk that offers protection, at least IMO a trunk offers a bit more protection.

As a side note, having a Baja makes it a bit easier to find in a parking lot.

I got two white stickers with my Pismo. One went on the back bumper of my Dodge Caravan. The other was kept safe for the next car. Good thing they gave me two - a year into owning the Caravan, I got into an accident that took off the back bumper (and the whole tailgate and a couple of doors). So, my reserve sticker went on the new bumper.

I figure that, for the next car (or the next bumper), I'll attempt to make my own sticker courtesy of Avery. I just haven't gotten into the whole e-bay thing.

I do have to say that it's interesting that most of us have the same idea that an apple logo should be the *only* sticker in the area - and not mixed in with other bumper stickers. I think Steve's sense of aesthetics is rubbing off on us.

dont have one on my car but its a good idea after seeing this thread. I've got my Injen sticker on my driver side rear window of my car, maybe Ill put the Apple on the passenger side

Don't own a car but if I had one, there would surely be an Apple sticker on the rear window. I saw a rainbow sticker on an old (seventies) industrial rack based climate control computer at a place I used to work. Nice contrast.
