Exactly. The size is perfect for me (8 Plus was fine, but a bit too big; regular 8 didn't have the screen & dual cameras), the screen is gorgeous, and I love the new features and gestures.

I think the screen and fast charging and wireless charging breaks the ice for me. Been waiting years for it

I'm not sure what update fixes it but there is a post somewhere about it. I don't even think it was the cold that had anything to do with it not 100% sure though

I don't think it has been patched yet to address the cold weather issue but haven't read too much on the 11.2 betas

no purchase, no regrets BTW. I still regret purchase 6S Plus 128GB for $550 few months ago, this model is worth maybe $300 tops

I love the X. This HDR OLED is Amazing. I can’t go back to LCD. It’s like going into an electronics store and looking at a OLED tv. It’s hard to leave without buying one. Battery life is great. Form factor is perfect. Yes they should of included a faster charger but I have been using a iPad charger for a while now. I already had the wireless chargers from other devices. For $1000 US dollars. I’ll be upgrading next year. For a higher price. I’ll be upgrading next year if I feel it’s worth it again.

One of the reasons I am returning the X is because I’m going to wait for the next generation (iPhone XS..XI.. whatever they call it). I remember how much of a difference there was in the first gen and second gen TouchID speed/reliability, and I’d imagine there’s going to be a similar significant performance upgrade in the next X revision.

Are you having problems with FaceID?

Not in the slightest. I am on the iphone forever plan with sprint that allows me annual upgrades to the newest iphone. @ $41 a month for 12 months, I won't have to pay the full price of my iPhone X before I get to upgrade to the newest one. So...totally worth it! Not to mention, if I do end up buying the iPhone out of it's lease, I can easily get a domestic sim unlock and resell it and either come out even or slightly ahead of what I paid on the phone. Sprint iPhones are the easiest to unlock and the sprint iphone is model A1865, which is the best iPhone for use on all major and minor carriers domestically and internationally.

I will regret the price, but then again, I sold my SE for like $270, got the Note 8 on a BOGO deal for $350 ($500 originally, but sold camera for $150 that came with it for free) and will sell my Note 8 for like $600. Then I will buy the iPhone X and pay for the rest outta pocket. My path to the iPhone isn't as wallet denting as others, but yep, I will be like yeah why is this phone $1000 again? But then again, I will be glad to ditch Android.

I’d say it works about 90% of the time, which is pretty damn good. But it’s that last 10% where it struggles, and in the most inopportune times (like when trying to activate Apple Pay). In either case, I think FaceID can stand to be a little bit faster.

Apple says this EVERY year. As if they're going to bring out a worse phone one year...
I didn't take Apple's word for it, and that's not necessarily true. Of course it's the best phone at the time, but you can look back and objectively say what were the best iPhone releases - X, 4, 6, 5 in that order by my rough estimation. Certain releases just changed the game for design and function. Just my opinion. People who don't think those phones were big deals can pass and save lots of money.

I didn't find TouchID that accurate tbh. If there was anything on my hands or if I was cold or something it wouldn't work I was constantly adding my pin

But they always say it at the key note as if they're going to bring out a slower phone and take away all the features etc
