I still have my .mac account. It's become a spam fest over the past few years so I don't have it activated on my Mac. I have it activated on my iPhone and I don't see the spam through that at least.

Use "xx@Mac" for apple ID and related apple account logins itunes / etc.

Use "xx@me" for personal email - nice short easy to use

Use "xx@gmx" for my real email

and "gmail" for new logins where I might get spam (used to be my working email)

I'm another one who has their mac.com email address as their primary Apple ID.

It's picked up me.com and icloud.com aliases over the years but I rarely use them and prefer the old school one :)

My @mac.com is still my primary Apple ID and my primary email account..

I do feel kind of silly when I think back that I pad $100 a year for it way back when...

Yep!
I only ever login to check it when I want to see about 400 new Spam messages...
It's shocking how spam filled that address is actually.

Yes, still have my @mac.com and @me.com email address. I don't really use the @mac.com but I use the @me.com as my primary e-mail address. Whenever I give my e-mail address to people and say "at me dot com" they always spell it back to confirm.

yeah but you could make your own web site and store pictures and documents there etc. - which was pretty cool back then!

I still have a "@me.com". I use it for iCloud and signing up for anything that I will use primarily on my phone. I didn't get a MacBook until 2014, but I've had an iPhone since 2012 and an iPod Touch a couple of years before that. My iTunes account is under a "@aol.com" though. I don't think that address is even officially active. They need to give us the ability to change iTunes account emails.

I believe you are now able to change your Apple ID email at https://appleid.apple.com/ now, as long as your primary email is not already set to an @mac.com, @me.com, or @icloud.com address. If you mean you have two completely separate Apple IDs, not just two emails on one account, then you still cannot merge them, unfortunately.

As for the topic, yes, I do still have my .Mac address and have used it as my primary since I got it with my first Mac back in 2007.

I only use my @mac.com address.

Whenever I call Apple support, which over the past few years has been a lot more times than I would like, the reps would often make comments about my @mac.com address, basically pointing out that I have been using Apple products for a while.

I get the same reaction in Apple stores when I ask for the receipt to be mailed to my @mac.com address. ALways gets a comment and a smile from staff who’ve been with the company for a while.

My @mac.com email is my primary account for day to day use and has been since the .mac box purchase days.

I have a @mac.com address, but it is not working, nor i can access it trought email.. i don't know why.

I can log in qith it on icloud and on manage your id, but no mail ...

My mac.com & me.com emails are still primary for iCloud and other Apple related stuff.
Not otherwise.

I use my @me.com exclusively. @icloud.com is set up in a filter on icloud.com to weed out spam emails. never given out myemail@icloud.com so if i get a speculative spam email, it's dealt with accordingly (my email address is pretty short).
