Do you think that the white Iphone 3g is feminine?

here's why
i'm getting white for these reasons. First of all the whole smudge issue. second if i dont like the color after awhile i think it will be much easier to find a nice black case than white. the right color white is very hard to find, usually its a little off which makes it very ugly, whereas from the cases ive seen black is black.
also i think white is a little feminine but i think if your worried about a phone questioning your sexuality then you have much bigger issues at hand.

true - did anyone see last week's top gear when they were talking about "mating" your phone with your car's dashboard. that discussion of phones' sexuality got a little bizarre!
The white plastic may not look macho, but I think most men who use Macs are secure enough that they don't care. A guy with issues is probably going to buy a "mil spec" G'zOne cell phone and a Latitude XFR laptop...
When my husband got his first white Mac laptop, my initial reaction was that, more than not looking very macho, it didn't look very business-like. The white plastic reminds me of the old Sculptura donut telephones and the ball chairs. from the 60s.
I'm surprised they're making a white iPhone. I thought the brushed aluminum finish on the iMac and Air was to be the new look, and that they would phase out the shiny white plastic.
I would like to see Apple offer more (product) RED products, especially the iPhone/Touch and the MacBook. And I would love to see some limited editions by designers -- like hot pink & acid green by Lilly Pulitzer. (A girl can dream!)

I've generally always preferred white plastic products - white Nintendo DS Lite, white iPod (back in the day when they were only white, but then I'd still pick it), etc and I would get a white MacBook if I didn't have my MBP. That said, I do think the white iPhone has the potential to look a little girly, as well as possible supply issues, so I'm going for the black.
Uh, when did something white become feminine? Heck, even pink wasn't too feminine for guys a year ago! Now if it was some light purple, yeah, it'd be one sided, feminine.
Only a geek would worry about what color iPhone he's getting... Seriously. Get what works best and looks best, in this case, it's white hands down.

I don't think the white is feminine, but I do think it pretty sharp. The white back and black apple logo really pop. However, I will be getting the black.
Who's to say that the black model will be most common? - The tables could turn.
After all, the white video iPod was more prominent, than black.

I'm going with white most likely. First off, I have a white macbook, and all iPod/iPhone/Mac accessories are white; headphones, cords, docks, etc.
The white iPhone will just fit in more with existing Apple products.

Ugly, yes. I'd like it if it was ALL white. The white back looks like **** with the chrome divider and black front.

Too funny, also the fact that I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area, has no influence on my decision to go white. (Actually, my wife gets the white one!).
LOL. I am getting the white one, and my GF is getting the black one. I now live in SF and started getting used to people not judging you based on the color of your cell phone ...
I think I will be getting the white iPhone 3G because I have always gone for the more different of the colors for my iPods, and I think this color will be far more unique. Also from past experience white doesn't show scratches or smudges as easily as the Black. However, I will have to see it in person before I make my finial judgement on the color, but unless the white looks really really bad I am going to go with the white model.

i prefer black, but if they sell out of 16 gigs black, white is my second choice...im making sure I am getting a phone that day!

How do you not get it? Get what color looks the best TO YOU and not worrying if people think it's feminine or ugly.
Wow, you're in Cape Town? ^^^ I've always wanted to go there. Just saw on the travel channel it has one of the 21 sexiest beaches in the world, lol. Anyways, back to the "Do you think that the white iPhone 3g is feminine?" thread.
