Oh, you got me.

/rolls eyes

Strong answer for what? For my opinion being different than yours? For me thinking differently than you? I apologize , then, we should all value the same things the same amount.

it's not abut the opinion it's about having facts and figures to support your side, and you, fell short of those.

There are no facts to support the notion than Nokia making phones would make them a success. We do, however, have multiple companies scraping by making Android phones.

They don't have the same type of budget that Samsung does. They don't have the same revenue stream, disposable. It's like you're not paying attention. Their budget is not big enough. Do you really think they could out-spend Samsung?

Nokia's US handsets are carrier exclusives because they bind them to the carrier in exchange for the carrier taking on marketing duties. If they really had a BIG marketing budget, this wouldn't be happening

Samsung is STILL BIGGER.

Nokia's main business is telecommunications. Outside of it, they are nothing.

Samsung has been a top SoC supplier for years. This is why Apple still goes to them. They can build it fast. Samsung is one of the only few companies in the world that doesn't need a partner. They build their devices INSIDE/OUT in-house. Other companies like Apple or Sony still need partners.

Just a few years ago, Samsung already became the #1 HDTV manufacturer. More marketshare than LG and Sony. Samsung was already getting BIGGER AND BIGGER even if Nokia had picked Android instead. Samsung's rise to the top was already imminent.

"Samsung is STILL BIGGER." oh yes it is!

but go back 4 years, was samsung in the same position they are today, no!(they were BEHIND nokia)
it takes some time. marketing + a great gadget = success
if nokia came to the android world, it'd take them hardly a year to easily beat LG, HTC and sony. why? because nokia has the biggest following out of these 4 companies.
and in about 3-4 years they would be above samsung.
