I guess it might just be me. I know that it is always on, it is supposed to wake me up everyday. I wonder if it it is actually going off and I just turn it off while still sleeping. This may be the case but I am usually a real light sleeper.

Just put your phone away from you. That's what I do.

Yes that is an option but I like to have access to it in the night. Sometimes I get a call, text, or email which usually wakes me up and I would like to view it then easily.

I use iphone alarm 7 days a week (fully depend on it).

I just set it and forget it like Ron, it has never failed me. :D Hope I did not just jinx myself.

Oh. I see.

When I'm sleeping ... I'm sleeping. Whoever sends me a text would have to wait until the morning :D

I'd probably wake up if someone calls me.

That's just me though ... which is why I just slide my phone across the floor so it makes me have to get out of bed. Otherwise I'd just keep disabling it.

Having silent on will still cause the alarm to ring. This way you don't have to hear the text message ringtone, but still wake up on time.

I use it everyday no issues, well except on this last Jan 2nd. Every once in a while it doesn't wake me up, but that usually involves heavy drinking the night before:D

I trust it greatly, I've NEVER had it not ring an alarm that I set, and I set alarms constantly. The only caveat is that you have to remember to keep the volume up and the headphones out of the jack, otherwise you won't actually hear the alarm, it'll just show up silently as a message on the screen. I really would like it if apple gave an alarm option to make it automatically raise the device volume, but oh well.

I use mine as my only alarm clock and it's never let me down. However, I always set multiple alarms 5 minutes apart: Not because I don't trust the alarm, but because I don't trust myself not to turn it off and go back to sleep :D

not really, just that i've been using it to wake me up to go to school every week days and i've got to tell you, i've never been late once

Surprisingly its recently been failing me, heres an example

i woke up for school and i saw i had missed text yet my iPhone's Alarm still not had went off and it was after it should've went it off. Thinking i must have slept through it or accidentally turned it off....so i unlock then instantly my Alarm had went off it was weird...

These Days i've been lacking Sleep so i sleep deep and my alarm doesn't phase me anymore

Pretty much your body is going to get the sleep it needs - whether you like it or not, so if you are attending school it might be better idea to schedule your sleep so that it is compatible with your studies.

In any case, you are probably habituating to the alarm (namely, ignoring the alarm because the sound doesn't change). I do a gradual re-entry into the waking world - two Marimba alarms followed by the Alarm alarm, spaced 5 minutes apart. I also turn on the radio.

I defy anybody to oversleep after turning off three alarms, and I had mild narcolepsy when I was younger....

Mine works just fine. My only complaint is regarding the choices for alarm sounds... Why isn't there just a regular alarm clock sound? Either a beeping or old-school ringing alarm. Instead there are just a bunch of weird noises.

Only time it's failed is the know fails (1/2, and daylight savings). Otherwise I've been living by iPhone alarms since 3/2009.

Worked every time for me.
Every weekday at 6AM.
Every weekday at 2:45PM ( reminds me to drink my ovaltine )
And on the weekends occasionally, but only as needed.

I remember that once an ipod touch failed to wake me up, then after owned an iphone 4 I never trust it espescially for important days that I really should be waking up early. Using my old blackberry bold which never fails on alarm but on anything else :D
