I have two: One is a cheap clear case (the primary one it's kept in) for basic scuff and scratch protection that adds little to no weight/bulk, and a keyboard case for times when I travel and use it as my primary device.
I do, always. But using iPads with no case is the epitome of usage. I took the case off of my 9.7-inch iPad Pro and it’s almost a different experience. It’s quite slippery and I will never leave it off, but I will occasionally use it caseless and I feel like that’s the way it should be used. I will never do it, though.
Yeah, this is completely true! Likewise, I only take the case off of it when there is no risk of me dropping it at all. Too slippery otherwise.I forgot about the slipperiness. When I first bought the iPad 2 in 2011, I didn’t get a case for it and it kept slipping through my fingers. I only used that in bed while I waited for my case to arrive from Amazon.
Looks very nice. I also have those kind of cases for when my iPad is not in use it is being transported out of the house. They are quite protected I suppose. They have a glass screen protector, a case and then they go into a pouch with the case on when not in use/going out of the house.
Those look bulky. I assume it's lightweight plastic, but must make the iPads at least 25% heavier. (just to throw a number at it) The stand feature is pretty slick. My two SUPCASE arrived for my
I am using a similar Spigen case for my iPad. The Apple Pencil slot is very tight. So, I am worried about scratching the casing of the iPad when putting or removing the Apple Pencil. My two SUPCASE arrived for my

What do you think about it?
I use leather case. The front & back leather make it very comfortable to use.I've always been a case guy.
But now I'm rethinking that after getting my 12.9 inch Pro today. Bought it with the Smart Folio case. LOVE the big screen. And while I was initially wildly underwhelmed by mini LED, I am starting to notice that blacks do indeed look blacker and colors look a bit more vibrant.
Only problem is with the case on......this thing is kind of heavy and bulky to hold. But when I take the case off it makes a somewhat surprisingly noticeable difference. So I might live dangerously and use it without a case much of the time. After all......how much protection do they really offer anyway? Seems most of the time if I drop my iPad or my iPhone it lands smack on the screen anyway. So the case is of absolutely no help. Someone should do a study--if they haven't already---on how often cases even protect devices.
Unfortunately for me, my iPad Mini 5 and my iPad 9th gen are the last iPads that support smart covers so I don't know what comes next when I need to replace them.
You can get silicone covers for current models from AliExpress.I wish Apple would stop changing/deleting types of cases, when they release new products.
Still rocking my 1st gen iPad Pro 12.9, with Apple Silicone Cover.
When I was researching upgrades a while back I discovered these options don't exist for the newer iPads.....
My iPad is 'home bound' but just like the added rear protection.
A case with a slightly raised lip would provide some protection if your iPad drops on the floor.…After all......how much protection do they really offer anyway? Seems most of the time if I drop my iPad or my iPhone it lands smack on the screen anyway. So the case is of absolutely no help.
