It p*sses me off, that iCloud only offers 3 alias. I'm on google for my "everything" email, and I keep getting spam daily, currently, it's "your delivery order has been....." spam that goes straight to my inbox. If I could at least have 5 alias I'd consider iCloud email for everything

The only other email provider that I can think of that offers aliases is Yahoo! Mail, sooo… 🤷‍♂️

Did you end up switching to iCloud Mail?

Honestly, it's flawless. I've never seen it do any of the bad things that people have described in this thread so far.
I switched to iCloud Mail in 2017-2018. It's very sh*tty. It doesn't register between ios devices that I've opened and read an email... once you switch to iCloud Mail you're stuck with it... It's locked to my Apple ID, but I don't use it for email. I still use Gmail for email (through the Gmail app), however, the spamming filter is awful! I daily get spams into my inbox telling me to click on a delivery service....

and gmail that offers 5, and outlook that offers 10
I don’t remember Gmail and Outlook offering aliases, at least for free… 🤔

Did you ever contact Apple support? It seems like you just have a case of bad luck. I’ve had a flawless experience with iCloud Mail. :)

And every time I’ve heard somebody mention Gmail, it’s about how great the spam filter is. I’m shocked to hear that you’re having a poor experience with it.

It’s a common iOS “feature”. If you open an email on your iPhone, it won’t register that it’s opened and read on your iPad. You actually have to open the app to update it. I’m fed up with my Gmail, I keep getting daily spams that goes into my inbox

I only have one email address (google), which I use for everything including iCloud.
However, I've been wondering if that's not such a great idea. Do you guys have more emails for different tasks? Like: 1 for iCloud, 1 for professional use, 1 for signing up to your favorite apps/websites such as macrumors..
I have 1 email which is firstname@lastname.eu that I use for all my personal needs including resumes etc.

Secondly I have my corporate email for any work related issues.
