Nice! Would you mind posting video/pictures of it in typing or viewing mode? I'm really liking these and the company seems so much more reliable than Portenzo.

Sure thing. Here are a few more pictures. Kind of blurry since I took them on my iPhone but I think you'll get the idea.

I ordered my Dodocase Special Edition on Tuesday and just got an e-mail stating it shipped yesterday! Very impressed that they've caught up with these orders.

Ok just got my case. A couple of quick comments. I have the Pad and Quill case and maybe it is just me but the dodocase seems better made. There're no issues whatsoever with the iPad coming out of the case. This is a well made case. And at least for me seems better. I am getting the Portenzo and treegloo case and I will evaluate those also. Now my question for those that already have theirs. After taking the iPad out for a period of time does the iPad still fit firmly in the case. Ie does it seem over time that the rubber pads do not hold the iPad in the case as well as in the beginning. The pad and quill case was very tight at first but after a week the iPad comes out very easy. I am hoping the dodocase does better. Any comments would be welcome.

I just received my Limited Edition today and I am impressed!!

Like Jhutchings, my iPad is secure, much more so than the iPad 1 version. One thing I noticed on this one is that the corners has been redesigned compared to the iPad 1 version. In each corner, the wood has been notched in a bit and it seems to be done so that the corners of the iPad can slide further into the corner allowing for a more secure fit. Time will tell if it will hold but this is a huge improvement which I think will allow the iPad to remain secure beyond the break in.

Initially, I was a bit hesitant on ordering because of what I've been reading about the gap between the cover and the iPad near the spine. Mine is fine and there is barely a gap that will close as the case breaks in.

I do miss the lack of the Smart Cover feature but, for me, it is made up more by the nice look of the bamboo wood.

I would like to hear your feedback, Jhutchings, on how it compares to the other moleskine-type cases. I was ready to try a Portenzo but got discouraged with all the delays.

It is such a shame that Dodocase has gotten a bad rap because of their issues with their iPad 1 case corners and quality of the bamboo. I feel confident that they have addressed these. Time will tell for sure but I am very pleased.

The pad and quill case is larger and I just did another test on securing the iPad into the case. There is no comparison. The dodocase holds the iPad very secure. The pad and quill did at first but now one of the corners is getting loose. I am on ,y second case from them. At this point I must say the dodocase is the winner. I should have the Portenzo and treegloo cases in soon. This dodocase is really nice. We shall see how it holds up.

The problem that I had with the later version of dodo case for iPad 1 was the rubber pieces peeling off and sticking up after some use. Also, the cover seemed to be warping over time to a point where the center part of the cover was pushing down on the screen when shut closed. Other than that, I never had a problem with the iPad falling off the case and I still liked using the case. I wonder if the same things will happen with the iPad 2 version.

I can say is right now this thing is very solid. If I get 6 months use out of it that is ok. I will get another one or something else. I really like this case.

Yeah, I'm still very happy with my limited edition. My tiny soft magnet attached with double sided fabric tape works like a charm too. As gheto as that may sound I don't even notice it is there and I can easily remove it at any time.

I have noticed one thing with the case. It seems at the inside spine the paper liner has come up a bit on both edges. I believe this occurs because of folding the cover completely over. Anyone else notice this

Dodocase 10% OFF

As I wait for my ipad to come in, I just ordered a sky blue Dodocase for myself. Can't wait for it to come in to see how much I enjoy it. If you're thinking about getting one, you can get 10% off of it on their website for a limited time http://curebit.com/o/d/5RIv0

Just thought I'd share the savings.

Got my (green) DODOcase for iPad 2...

...and it's beautiful. Very solid, excellent construction, and really snug fit. I was an owner of one of the very first DODO's (one of the first 1000, I believe) which I bought a year ago, and while I loved its aesthetic it was a little rough around the edges (especially those crappy corner tabs) and didn't hold up very well. After buying another DODOcase for my brother later last year, I was impressed with the notable improvements I saw, and ordered one for myself. I was very pleased with that case, and not only were the corner tabs totally fixed, but the whole frame was much sturdier, and the materials overall seemed improved. This new DODOcase for iPad 2 is even better, and I can say that it is absolutely the best one I've seen yet....beautiful case, great quality materials, and excellent craftsmanship. Highly recommended.
Also, per one of the comments above, the Dodo bird bookplate is movable or removable, and I personally like it on the inside cover, just behind the iPad...

Just wondering what people are experiencing for shipping times. The website currently says 2-4 weeks. Is the wait really that long?

I have a Portenzo ordered and am very excited about it. But, there's also a lot of confusion about when it will ship, etc. It gives me time to consider trying the Dodocase, but if the wait is 4 weeks for Dodocase as well, then I might as well wait for my Portenzo.

Mine took 3 days to ship from when I ordered it although I think I got lucky that I ordered the Limited Edition. I'm still seeing on FB, that people who ordered the regular version a couple of weeks ago are still waiting.

Arrival Time

My case arrived 3 weeks after I ordered, but I think shipping times are going to be faster after this week, as they've been getting caught up on orders....at least that's what a customer service rep suggested to me in a recent email.

Bad DODOCase

Three days in and it is cracked, pictures attached

Ouch! Looks like the interior lining has come loose at the spine too.

Let us know how they respond!

Wow, it cracked in two separate spots? I've had mine about 10 days and haven't had a problem so far. Was it warped or anything like that when it arrived?

Special Edition is no longer available via the site...bummer.

Love the look...was surprised they use the same binding process as with books...I can't think of many hardcover books that would be used daily (like the case will) and hold up...
