I have been looking for a Mac-specific mouse for my new MB PRO on M1.
I ordered the MX Master 3 for mac, it got dispatched, so now it got me thinking. Will it work on my mac? I Logitech developing native support for Options? I have read that some people experience issues with Bluetooth, like, I have been using my Sony XB900N headphones over Bluetooth, and even held meetings on it without an issue. Funny thing, first hangout meeting on a laptop that stayed silent. LOL.

So, does anyone own this mouse and use the software? I've been trying to see if they are developing native support, but can't find anything...a lot of developers seem to be scrambling to do it ...basically, hope it will work, once it arrives.

I have one and it works, mouse is fantastic but sometimes I get bluetooth lag but it doesn't happen that often and for some reason goes away after a while. And I heard the new OS update will fix a lot of the Bluetooth issues. The software works fine, no issues there!

It will work with Logitech options software. I’d use usb for now until they fix Bluetooth. I also recommend getting steermouse or something similar to permanently turn off mouse acceleration.

I have an Mx Master 3 and an MX vertical connected to my M1 macbook air, the logitech options software works fine though rosetta. Although i did swap to using the USB unifying receiver dongle over bluetooth due to the M1 bluetooth issues apple are still working though.

I'm currently using my M1 MBA with an MX anywhere 3 (smaller cousin of the MX master) over bluetooth, it works well!

Will add though that on initial setup the mouse was extremely laggy and unusable. I downloaded Logitech Options which initially refused to recognise the MX mouse (on both an intel and an M1 macbook). Restarted computer and Logitech Options recognised the MX mouse. Changed some options but still a bit laggy. Restarted computer again and works well after.

Get something like steermouse to remove acceleration. Since Logitech hadn’t updated their drivers and software, there is still some slight lag through Rosetta IMO.

I tried MX2 but scrolling seems choppy/laggy to me compare to scrolling in windows or trackpad scrolling. I found MOS app and scrolling is much better and smooth but I still have no so fantastic feeling. Mouse moving is great but that scrolling is hard to accept for me. :D

I’ve got an MX Master 2S and works exactly as I expect with my M1 MBA. Connecting via bluetooth. I also have an MX Keys for Mac keyboard using the Logitech dongle plugged into a Caldigit TS3+ and that works as expected too.

I have the MX Master 3 for Mac mouse and MX Keys Advanced for Mac with my M1 Mac Mini and am loving them so far. I had a Magic mouse 2 and Magic keyboard, and this is night and day, especially having a backlit keyboard for working in dimly lit situations. I am using the USB dongle vs. Bluetooth, not that I've ran into Bluetooth issues, but figure I have the spare port and it should be more reliable.

So, a quick update after about 5 days of use, the mouse is great, the options software runs requires rosetta though.
The only thing is, occasionally gestures don't work like I press gesture button to move right/left between the desktops, this always works, now, when I go up for mission control or down fo expose, a lot of times it does not do the trick, then I reconnect/disconnect and it works again. Not sure to blame it on Logitech or on Big Sur.

its a great mouse however I do get terrible lag and disconnection issues when the mouse the MacMini are approx 1 feet apart. Just don't get it however I am switching back to the dedicated dongle tomorrow so hopefully that will solve the issue.

The Mac version of this mouse has no dongle, it's Bluetooth only... could you be using a standard Windows version?

I lucked out, I had an extra dongle. With that, mine works great. I have not tried it with my MacMini’s BT since the claimed BT fix.
After 11.2 Bluetooth seems to work fine, actually I had no Bluetooth issues with the mac version of this mouse on my M1 MB Pro.

I have a MBP M1, and it's running the latest version of Big Sur, I have lag with the mouse every 8/9 seconds or so. Where it kinda just gets a little jumpy.

Same mouse has no issue on my Intel work MBP, and it does have issue on my friends M1 Mini, I guess once your not sensitive to this type of thing then you'll have no problems.

With the 11.3 update and also the 1 Apr Logitech Options update the experience is much improved but it's still not as good as on an intel mac

It is still lagging after upgrading to 11.3. Basically no change. I have a feeling that Apple won't fix the problem because it is probably not their problem.

Yep, I think you’re right.
My Magic Trackpad doesn’t lag.

The master works without lag on my Intel Mac though, so maybe something on both sides

Hard to describe. Not really a lag but the scrolling is jerky (much improved but still there) not smooth like the on an intel mac.

I am still having the same issue - the gesture button on my MX Master 3 and the Expose button on my MX Keys will only work one time after a reboot and then stops working until the next reboot or disconnecting. Really annoying for such expensive peripherals...

EDIT: Solved - just needed to uncheck the Use F1, F2 etc as standard function keys and now both the mouse and keyboard are fixed.
