Using the dongle. I haven’t tried Bluetooth with it on Monterrey yet but it worked fine in Big Sur for me.Over bluetooth or with the Logitech RF dongle?

Ah. Yeah, they all work fine with the RF dongle. It's poor performance while on Bluetooth that's been the issue. Stuttering, freezing, laginess...Using the dongle. I haven’t tried Bluetooth with it on Monterrey yet but it worked fine in Big Sur for me.
Didn't used to be like this. I left MacOS for about 2 years beginning in late 2018 -- mouse support was fine when I stopped using it, but upon returning with Big Sur, it seems to have completely tanked. I don't know if it's 100% Big Sur's fault, but sure seems like it. Never used Catalina (version just prior to Big Sur), however.I must admit I really hate the way my MX Anywhere 2 and M720 feels on my Air M1. Disabling mouse acceleration and using MOS to tweak scrolling helps a bit. But scrolling is still not as good as in Windows, and mouse movement feels sluggish, laggy. Not as direct and precise as in Win. I dunno whats causing it. It really hampers the overall user experience. Bluetooth connectivity works well tho, and the sluggishness is there also with the USB dongle.
I'm quite frankly shocked that something as basic as a 3rd party mouse doesn't work properly in macOS, I din't expect issues of this sort when I started my foray into Mac-land. On the bright side the trackpad is amazingly good, but not the best choice for all types of tasks.
I've got the MX Master 3 Mac - but have a Logitech unifying receiver from elsewhere.Using the dongle. I haven’t tried Bluetooth with it on Monterrey yet but it worked fine in Big Sur for me.
My Logitech Anywhere 2 mouse works perfectly using Bluetooth on macOS 12 beta on my MBA.Ah. Yeah, they all work fine with the RF dongle. It's poor performance while on Bluetooth that's been the issue. Stuttering, freezing, laginess...
Hoping Monterey fixes the issues.
You're using the MX Master 3 with the M1 Mac's built-in bluetooth - and it's terrible, right?Im testing it on M1 Mac mini WITHOUT a bluetooth dongle but it doesn't work randomly. My Intel MBP didn't have this problem at all. I really think M1's bluetooth has a problem. This happened since last Nov. Without a dongle, it works terribly.
My bluetooth keyboard works ok without a dongle. You're using the MX Master 3 with the M1 Mac's built-in bluetooth - and it's terrible, right?
Same on my Macbook Pro.
At least I know it's not just me and that returning my Mac is unlikely to fix it.
However, my Logitech K380 bluetooth keyboard and multiple pairs of bluetooth headphones have zero issues.
It appears to be specifically an issue with the MX Master mouse.
I've got friends with Intel Macbooks who have had similar issues, to be fair.
Logitech specifically recommends that you use the dongle while FileVault is enabled. This has been a known problem with Logitech mouse compatibility for some time now, which the company recognizes but hasn't fixed. While my experience using Bluetooth hasn't been as bad as it has for other folks, keeping in mind that I'm still using an Intel Mac mini, I decided that the issues surrounding Logitech and Bluetooth weren't worth the bother, so I'm now using the RF dongle and haven't encountered any of the previous difficulties.Quick question : when enabling FileVault, can you move the cursor in the login screen that appears as soon as you start your computer, when connected on Bluetooth ?
Use the Logitech Unifying Software application from the Logitech website.I've got the MX Master 3 Mac - but have a Logitech unifying receiver from elsewhere.
How do you force the mouse to use this rather than the inbuilt bluetooth receiver?
Ah yeah, my mouse inverts regularly.I also have the MX Master 3 and the MX Keys and I use them via Bluetooth. I have a dongle but I don't have any USB-A port in which to put it (I have an M1 MBP).
Both the keyboard and the mouse work fairly ok. From time to time the mouse seems to lag, the extra buttons don't work anymore and the scrolling stops working or is inverted. In this case, I open Activity Monitor and force quit the LOGI Options Daemon (which then restarts by itself) and afterwards everything works ok for a while. I noticed that the issues appear when I plug the laptop in the external monitor in the morning (I usually unplug it in the evening when I finish working).
Yeah I removed my mouse as a bluetooth accessory, then started over from scratch and add the unifying receiver with Logitech options - it's working fine now.Use the Logitech Unifying Software application from the Logitech website.
Pairing with three devices is the sole reason I use Logitech.I was using the mx master 3 and mx keys but when I first got my Mac mini M1, I was having issues between switch between mine and my wife's user profiles so I switched back to the Apple Magic Mouse and keyboard.
After a few months I think Logitech sorted it out but I think I just prefer the apple stuff more again (don't shoot me)
Ah yeah, my mouse inverts regularly.
I have to switch between 'reverse' and normal regularly, to contradict some other hidden setting that changes.
Although... I think that might have stopped now that I've switched to the unifying receiver?

I also had MX Master 3 and MX Keys but I switched to original Apple mouse and keyboard because of the lags. The Apple devices work very smooth without any lags.My original MX Master seems to be working ok for a while on my MacBook Air M1, but suddenly some of the buttons will not trigger the assigned functions on the Logi Options software. This seems to happen when I am running a RAM intensive application like Lightroom. When I use Lightroom I don't run any other apps, maybe Spotify, as I only have 8GB. If I stop using Lightroom the MX Master well keep acting up until I restart the computer. It works perfectly on my 2014 MacBook Pro, so it's not the mouse. I use the M1 Air connected to a Dell U2520d external monitor. I've uninstalled the software and installed it again several times, tried with bluetooth and the unifying receiver and the behavior is the same. Sometimes the battery and bluetooth icons on the Logi Options software will be grayed out, and the MX Master will work, but as if it were without any customization. I thought that maybe the 4 year old MX Master was due for an upgrade, but it seems that even the newer versions have issues with M1 Macs.
