Launchpad is a great concept for applications you don't use that often but still you want to have a fast access to them.

For me Dock is the place (and the only place) for applications i use on daily basis.Yes it is true that i am not using all of them but it still would be messy if it would contain all of my apps.

I really really like launchpad. It's a better concept then clicking finder -> applications -> my app.

It's like a more beatiful interpretation of known concept. Same like dropbox is just a more beatiful and useful ftp / rsync.

Just wanted to add more info. If I'm looking for an app when the name escapes me, I'll use the 5 finger pinch in (no gesture gymnastics involved here at all) or use Hot Corner for a change (both quick). If I know the app, then Spotlight is the best. Either Com + Space or click on the spotlight in the menu bar. I really don't see the need for Launchbar at all.
