When I had the X, it was anything but slow. Maybe try a complete reset, and set up as new. When ever I buy a new phone, or computer or do a major OS update, I always reformat/hard reset after the first boot, and usually set up as new. It’s always worked for me.

I got one today, I feel speed is ok but I am going to return this garbage, too big, to expensive and too heavy. I got it because my iPhone 5 just broke, but at $1000 this thing is pure garbage. I can spend that money in more important things, not on this garbage.

My X is as fast as a buttered sea lion down a helta skelta.

I found the note 8 to be like a dog. I'd have to set an alarm at 4am to switch the note 8 on so that by the time I woke at 7am it would be nearly ready to read the news.

Also I'd have to get people to email me the day before to book a time to phone me so I had it ready to receive calls.

When I took a photo I'd press the shutter button then write to the person who wanted their photo taken asking them to come over. Usually when they arrived, there was not much of a wait before the shutter opened.

not really, raise to wake swipe im in. its so much faster than touchid imo [and i have a iPhone 6s plus next to me and and accustomed to both touchid and faceid interchangably].

well what else do you find slow? obviously the screen is a new ratio entirely so give it abit of time then it will be slick, but i find it personally snappy fast and quick already. how much more faster do you want? [iPhones tend to have smoother animations if u ask me]

It's a shame you didn't get to try it out before you paid for it.

Haha, me smell a troll, and u all fell for it, hahah. That said, iPhone X is the fastest phone I’ve ever had. Benchmarks blow everything else away.

Merry X mas

Haha. Wut?

If this is for real, check some YouTube videos. Even neutral Android/Apple folks talk about how fast the X is.

That's great that you can make a justification to return an iPhone that doesn't meet your expectations, but if you're only complains that "It's too big, too expensive and too heavy", I would say the iPhone X is overall successful for the majority based on your three complaints alone.

I feel like the X's screen isn't as fluid with other phones Apple released, but I expect it to be smoothed out with iOS 11 getting improved with future updates. Only app I noticed issues on regularly is Reddit's official app. I believe they just updated it with X support so it could have a few hiccups here and there. X is very fast though. I enjoy the phone nevertheless. Might recommend factory reseting if not, then try replacing it at an Apple Store or carrier's point of sale.

Fluidity of the screen is likely due to the OLED screen, and not iOS 11.

I'm coming from a Note 8 and have always had the newest phone I am very tech savvy so it's not user error. Anyone else besides me find this thing to be extremely slow? I open an app or anything and the stupid thing just hangs. I have tried resetting rebooting I never leave excess apps open I've got tons of free space. I have the 256 gig and haven't even used up half yet.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas?
Don’t know about the speed. It seemed pretty much close to the note 8 when I compared it a few days ago.
However Iva had problems with the phone randomly rebooting once a day :/

Either defective, or reliant on a network connection that may not be available...Either way when configured properly and working fine this phone realistically cannot not be described as slow.

Reading your post, I’d say you never actually had an X. When I went from my 5 to my 6S it was a huge difference in performance. Now that I have an X, it is definitely a jump in performance again.. Going from a 5 to an X would be a huge difference in every way

Seriously my phone does the SAME lagging on apps and forget about streaming video. What did you end up doing?
