I did, that was from December. That was the replacement X they gave me after the first one had the same issues. I have since been on my third and nothing has been resolved yet. I have been notified Apple is "looking into it" but haven't heard anything about it yet. Not a huge deal the phone isn't a daily driver anymore just frustrating since I do have to use the phone still.

iPhone X Does anyone else find the X to be SLOW as hell??

Not a huge deal the phone isn't a daily driver anymore just frustrating since I do have to use the phone still.
If you have had three iPhone X and they are were doing this same thing, I have to think it is user induced. Some software/app is doing a number on your device. You video amazes me and I tried the same and the brightness and volume levels follow my finger precisely.
Sorry you are having this and hope you get it figured out but your device in not typical.
Yes that has been my conclusion as well. I have left the third one factory and it still seems to have issues but not as apparent, I also don't use it as frequently. I have always had success pushing iDevices to the limits so I know it's definitely related to my heavy usage ability rather than anything else. I was able to replicate it through the store models as well which is why Apple became involved.
Seems odd. The X is the fastest phone I have used. No issues since day 1. I would restore and set up as new.
Well if you are really trying to push your X to the limits, you can expect it to slow down. It was not meant to do multiple things that are CPU intensive at one time. It has a limited ability to shed the CPU heat and will do what is has to do to prevent damaging the device.
Apple make iPhones for the average user. The CPU and battery are made to get you though a average day for the average user. They did not intend you to live on your phone for hours and hours each day. I can not even imagine but our phones serve different purposes for each of us.
I don’t even use it for hours and hours. This phone is a desk phone for just doing various things. Most I use it for is taking pictures and streaming music. What I did in the store to demo the slowdown on their own demo phones was just take a bunch of pictures, edit them, stream some music, and just some other general things in rapid succession, which is fairly normal to me but maybe more intense than usual though it’s slower than possible since there’s no home button, that sped up the process significantly. I’m not doing anything radical here like running constant benchmarks and games. Actually that’s the one thing I haven’t done yet is put any true software or games on this. That would be a good test now that I think about it.
I’m hopeful Apple just declares that in fact and it’s just “you’re using it wrong”. That’s what I was told back during the 4S days I figure that’s what they will say still. As you’ve said it’s a very mundane device for general usage.
Nothing wrong with the device itself. If you zip too fast on any smart device you may see some slight hang but for my general moderate to heavy usage it’s been the smoothest iPhone experience yet. But hey, if you’re really having that many problems with it nobody’s forcing you to use one. Try an 8 and see how that works for you.
Same here. Facebook ... all the time. I'll click on a notification and I just get a white screen. Sometimes I get tired of waiting for it to load so I just give up. It happens even after killing all the apps. I've restarted this phone more than I ever had to any of my previous iPhones. I'm seriously thinking of making the switch to Android.

I think that's the bloated Facebook app itself. I don't experience this delay when I use Facebook in Safari.
(Laughing a bit) The only thing that I did with my X or my 8 where their speed was really noticeable vs. my 7 was running benchmarks. Maybe if you're gaming, or trying to edit video on your phone, or doing something else that's really system-intensive, you'd see the difference. IRL, I think most people, most of the time, are not going to see a big difference in daily use between a 6S and an 8/X. Nomex on.
