I have the 13 as my everyday phone. I also have a SE2 that I use for work, but I'll probably be turning it in for a 12 Mini soon.

I have an iPhone 12 as my personal phone and an iPhone 11 for work. Haven’t turned the 11 on for a couple of months now as nobody phones me on it. It should have a good level of battery health by the time I give it to my eldest daughter.

I have a 13 mini as my DD and an iPhone 7 as an iPod touch. unfortunately the phone has the busted mic issue and is at 78% battery life so once the battery drains a bit more I will just look into getting an 8.

wow, I didn’t realize that owning more than 1 phone was a thing these days.. guess I‘m a bit behind on the times ?

Now question for those who have multiple phones like @daddyd302 - how do y’all manage accessories? Do you still get cases and screen protectors for each device?
For me, yes. Cases and screen protectors are dirt cheap.

And most Android phones already have pre-applied screen protector by the manufacturer, for free ;)

I just got a 13 mini and the conga line begins. My SE 2020 goes to my stepson, and his (formerly my) SE 2016 comes back to me as a backup phone in case of emergencies. To go with my old 3GS, which still works when I turn it on.

Nice I'm sure you're happy with your upgrade.

For people that use multiple phones, how do you deal with messages? Do you use some universal messaging like Whatsapp so the messages are not just on one phone rahter on the app? I've switched between apple and Samsung phones a few times in the last 1.5 years and found messages to be problem as I use the default apple or google messaging. So, I have to transfer all the messages over to each phone.

I've read outside the US messaging is not normally done using the default messengers so guess this makes it less of a issue. I live in the US so it's more common to use the included messaging.

Or, maybe people don't worry about message history? I do find it helpful to reference older messages from time to time, but, it's probably something I could live without.

If you have multiple iPhones and use iMessage, as long as you use the same iCloud account and Messages on iCloud, they will all sync, and you can just use any phone. Or you can use cloud based messaging services like Telegram or Facebook Messenger, so you have have them on however many devices.

If you have iPhone and Android, or you don't use iMessage/Telegram/FB Messenger, each phone (SIM) is its own account. So you just have to pick which phone will be your primary driver. Eg. for me, my S21 is my primary driver, so it has my whatsapp account(s).

I have 2 iPhone SEs (plural SE),first generation, both with relatively new batteries. One holds 64GB (the first one I bought); the second I bought a year later with 128GB (I love my music).

Whenever one device is "in the shop," I switch the SIM card over to the other device. I keep fresh backups using iMazing (a gifted app that has so much Swiss Knives to save the day!). My carrier has no real problem with my switching the SIM card back and forth (once or twice a year), but it does come in handy, should one of the devices suddenly die on me.

And as anyone stuck on I-95 last weekend can testify, it helps to have a second same-model iPhone in your grab-bag/Emergency Kit. Along with the necessary chargers, cables, etc. Also, an iPad (so old it's vintage) with 256gb storage, cell service (if needed), and loaded with lots of movies and TV shows on whatever iTunes app will play them these days! Gotta stay entertained while freezing to death! ;-)

This is one thing i wish Whatsapp would change so that my messages could be accessed across multiple devices. Also the long-promised iPad App.

I believe they're going towards that. There's a beta feature that allows devices to be linked, but that works only on non-phone devices and browsers.

I have three myself 12 mini is my main phone and I have two backup iPhones se2 and the 8 I’m not much of a big screen guy so the smaller screen ones are good enough for me!

Don’t be fooled by the selection bias on these forums, it’s completely abnormal for someone to own two smartphones let alone two of the latest release.
It's less common, but probably more common than you think. In my country, almost every business people have 2 smartphones. IPhones particularly because Apple doesn't release the dual physical SIM version in my country. Having more than one SIM/phone number is not uncommon here.

Like a few others, I have one for personel and one for work. Work requires vpn and management installed.

For those who have two iPhones that don't use it for work and just casually switch back & forth.. do you own apple watches? I imagine it's a hassle having to unpair and re-pair every time.

Well my 13 Pro Max is my main and really only phone. I still have my 7 Plus in its box and am planning on giving it to a friend's family.

Using 13PM as main. Secondary is the 13 mini for the casual use. No Apple Watch till date. I prefer my Rollies.

Man I’ve been watching battery life videos and as much as i love the 13 mini’s battery life, the 13 is more impressive than I thought. Makes it more tempting

This right here is what drove me nuts switching phones. I would switch between a 11 pro max and 11 pro all the time and the unpairing and pairing process drove me nuts. It actually killed my s4 while unpairing one day. Had to send it out to apple for them to replace under apple care. After that one phone it was.

Oh man that's gotta suck.

Do you live in Nazi Germany still? that sounds incredibly invasive.
Actually its quite a nice feature. When you are vaccinated you get a BarCode which lets you go to bars and restaurants and other places. You check in with the app and the device leaves the bluetooth-code. If someone gets ill with covid they can track you down (by the bluetooth code, not your real ID) and you get the information, that you should get tested.
The same works on the street passing people.
