For me, yes. Cases and screen protectors are dirt cheap.wow, I didn’t realize that owning more than 1 phone was a thing these days.. guess I‘m a bit behind on the times ?
Now question for those who have multiple phones like @daddyd302 - how do y’all manage accessories? Do you still get cases and screen protectors for each device?
Nice I'm sure you're happy with your upgrade.I just got a 13 mini and the conga line begins. My SE 2020 goes to my stepson, and his (formerly my) SE 2016 comes back to me as a backup phone in case of emergencies. To go with my old 3GS, which still works when I turn it on.
If you have multiple iPhones and use iMessage, as long as you use the same iCloud account and Messages on iCloud, they will all sync, and you can just use any phone. Or you can use cloud based messaging services like Telegram or Facebook Messenger, so you have have them on however many devices. For people that use multiple phones, how do you deal with messages? Do you use some universal messaging like Whatsapp so the messages are not just on one phone rahter on the app? I've switched between apple and Samsung phones a few times in the last 1.5 years and found messages to be problem as I use the default apple or google messaging. So, I have to transfer all the messages over to each phone.
I've read outside the US messaging is not normally done using the default messengers so guess this makes it less of a issue. I live in the US so it's more common to use the included messaging.
Or, maybe people don't worry about message history? I do find it helpful to reference older messages from time to time, but, it's probably something I could live without.
This is one thing i wish Whatsapp would change so that my messages could be accessed across multiple devices. Also the long-promised iPad App.If you have multiple iPhones and use iMessage, as long as you use the same iCloud account and Messages on iCloud, they will all sync, and you can just use any phone. If you have iPhone and Android, or you don't use iMessage/Telegram/FB Messenger, each phone (SIM) is its own account. So you just have to pick which phone will be your primary driver. Eg. for me, my S21 is my primary driver, so it has my whatsapp account(s).
I believe they're going towards that. There's a beta feature that allows devices to be linked, but that works only on non-phone devices and browsers. This is one thing i wish Whatsapp would change so that my messages could be accessed across multiple devices. Also the long-promised iPad App.
It's less common, but probably more common than you think. In my country, almost every business people have 2 smartphones. IPhones particularly because Apple doesn't release the dual physical SIM version in my country. Having more than one SIM/phone number is not uncommon here.Don’t be fooled by the selection bias on these forums, it’s completely abnormal for someone to own two smartphones let alone two of the latest release.
For those who have two iPhones that don't use it for work and just casually switch back & forth.. do you own apple watches? I imagine it's a hassle having to unpair and re-pair every time.
Oh man that's gotta suck. This right here is what drove me nuts switching phones. I would switch between a 11 pro max and 11 pro all the time and the unpairing and pairing process drove me nuts. It actually killed my s4 while unpairing one day. Had to send it out to apple for them to replace under apple care. After that one phone it was.
Actually its quite a nice feature. When you are vaccinated you get a BarCode which lets you go to bars and restaurants and other places. You check in with the app and the device leaves the bluetooth-code. If someone gets ill with covid they can track you down (by the bluetooth code, not your real ID) and you get the information, that you should get tested.Do you live in Nazi Germany still? that sounds incredibly invasive.
