A dual SIM activated iPhone XS is my primary device and a 6s lives in the sock drawer. Once I upgrade, the iPhone XS will be a secondary device for corporate apps/VPN and a workout device.

For people that use multiple phones, how do you deal with messages?
With the exception of my iPhone 6s+ and my 11 Pro Max, all my other iPhones do not have active lines. I have SIM cards installed so they are activated, but these are a mishmash of different carriers and are probably all long expired. iMessage is all that will work on these phones and if I use them at all for that then they are being used with an email address (iMessage works with email addresses, not just phone numbers).

So, iMessages tend to be synced across all my iPhones and my iPad. Actual SMS/MMS are different however, and this is to be expected. My iPhones 6s has a different phone number than my 11 Pro Max. But most of my SMS/MMS messaging is done on my 11 PM.

That said, both my 11PM and my 6s+ are set up to forward text messages to all my devices, so there can be a round-robin sometimes.

For those who have two iPhones that don't use it for work and just casually switch back & forth.. do you own apple watches? I imagine it's a hassle having to unpair and re-pair every time.
I do not own an Apple watch. Don't want one, even if I ever saw a need for one (which I don't). My wife has expressed interest in one, but she uses her phones with cases (I do not) so we're very different when it comes to phones and tech stuff anyway.

There was a time here on MR where the watch was being promoted as the answer to the iPhone not having an LED notification light. I'm still firmly in the camp that the iPhone needs that and this remains a large part of my reasons for not being interested in the Apple watch.

I am currently using the 13 mini and while I love this thing and its compact powerful size, I do miss having a bigger screen. I was thinking of possible getting the iPhone 13 to switch back and forth from. The Pro would be too heavy (although 120hz is tempting) and the 12’s battery life is kinda eh. I just want to know if anyone else has multiple iPhones that they switch back and forth from. Or am I just crazy.. lol

I have 2. My 12 Pro everyday, my 2016 SE as my "home" phone.

I'm about to have two iPhones when my 512GB Sierra Blue Pro model arrives this week. It will complement my 12 mini and Galaxy Fold 3. My employer lets us expense up to $100 of our phone bill if we get a company phone so I figured why not get a "free" iPhone ($50/month data plan and $36/month phone payment plan). The Fold and previous Samsung devices have been my main devices but last year I got a 12 mini out of curiosity of trying iOS again since the 6 Plus. I still prefer Android's openness but appreciate Apple's way too (simple, just works, and elegant looking hardware and software). Not sure if I'll sell the 12 mini because I love using it for morning walks, jogging/running, and biking because it's so small and light.

Do you live in Nazi Germany still? that sounds incredibly invasive.

This post needs an award for "most tasteless comparison of the year". I bet you think Covid is no worse than the flu and that vaccinations are really injecting microchips into people so the government can control them.

I use an iPhone SE (main phone), plus a 5c (for job hunting - so recruiters don't hassle my on my main number).

I have these two babies! 😊 I’m using the regular size 8 mostly when I go outside, since I have small hands and it’s more practical, but when at home, I tend to use the Plus.

I have an Xs Max and a 13PM on separate lines. I really don’t like the idea of using a dual sim because I like to keep business and personal as separate as possible, including using separate phones. Plus it preserves battery power on the phone not in use at the time.

It's too much trouble to actually keep more than one iPhone in use. Apple will pester you with messages about logons from different devices. It's truly annoying.

Lol ok. I guess I’m wrong for thinking it’s invasive to require you to sign in everywhere you go and be tracked 247 or you can’t leave your house.

Not really. I have my Apple ID signed into my 13 which is my main phone and an IPhone 7 that I use as an iPod Touch. I message from both devices and no issues.

Are you sure? Many people here have iPhones and iPads, and they don't seem to feel being "pestered." New logins notifications are just during first time setup.

I only have 1 iPhone but I do have multiple phones for various things;

- 13 Pro, just my regular every day phone (love it). It comes everywhere with me and does 90% of my phone-related stuff.
- Pixel 4A 5G running CalyxOS, I don't have a specific use case for this but I did get it very cheap and Calyx is pretty neat. I also took Android 12 for a spin on this when it came out, some very cool features on that I wish Apple would steal courageously take inspiration from.
- Black Shark 4 (aka Xiaomi), just a gaming phone that I also picked up very cheap. Lot of fun to use for mobile games as it's got pop out triggers, fast screen, and a super high touch sample rate that makes it feel really smooth to use (its weird how much of a difference this makes). I would never log in to any of my real accounts on it though, it's quite obviously full of spyware.

Yes called an iPad mini 6th gen.

I have two 13 pro max iPhones. One a sierra blue 1TB, the other a Graphite 512gb. I take a lot of photos and having two cameras is great. I had the 12 pro max but neglected it as the cameras weren’t as good. They were good at the beginning, when it was released, but I found myself not using it, so I updated it. Happy camper now.

I will admit that Verizon has a deal right now for a free iPhone 12 mini if you add a line and for me adding a line with the free phone was a wash. So I now have an iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 mini.
