In Hell
I'm getting excited for you.

Nothing like a lovely shiny new computer.

Hope it arrives before the weekend.

Well, there's one added complication....IF it does get delivered on Thursday like they claim, it still has to make its way through the University's mail system as well, so if it arrives in the afternoon, it might be very close (or possibly not happen at all). I think once Friday hits, I'll start harassing the mail room. :D

Now that you have your MacBook Pro mmmcheese, how do you like it? :)

Likes:
- My retinas burning while looking at the screen (It makes my 21" Trinitron look dull....impressive)
- Speed
- Power cord (I was always worried about busting the logic board on my iBook)
- Screen in general (looks great).
- Thickness (It makes the machine feel small, even though it is huge...compared to a 12")
- Weight (pretty much the same as my 12" iBook, which is the reason I wanted small, mostly weight)
- Build quality (there's a definite step up in feel over the iBook)

Dislikes:
- I need to find a bag that will fit it, and not warp the lid (weight of contents of bag...didn't matter on the iBook because it was plastic, but metal can bend permanently)
- Battery life (It's not bad, I'm just a battery life whore...about what everyone else is getting...3.5 hours)
- Speedstep sound (this is a minor quibble...in a perfect world, the sound wouldn't be there...realistically, it's a stupid reason for anyone to complain.)
- Screen resolution (I'm a resolution whore...I want only eagles to be able to read my screen :D...that said, I don't feel like I need a second screen constantly...like with my iBook at 1024)

Now, this may sound like a lot of dislikes, but I'm just trying really hard to think of things. If it was going to be the "ultimate" machine, I'd want a higher resolution on the same size (or small) screen, and a 6 hour battery in the same form factor...of course this isn't feasible (or possible in many cases)...This machine is pretty much everything I wanted.
