These threads are a mystery to me. iOS 7 was flawless on my ancient iPhone 4 and runs like a hose on my new 5S. I can take or leave the pastel colors but I like the animations, the parallax, and the other new design features.

There's enough carping out there that there must be SOMEthing going on, but with four iPhones and two iPads in the family running iOS 7 and only one occasional issue with one unit (rare spontaneous FaceTime calls on the solitary 4S) it's been stable, swift and trouble-free.

I dunno, somewhere in West Texas
I'm not interested in emulators or using separate controllers... So that does nothing for me.

That's why he's saying they're different, yet you keep saying one is worse than the other. You clearly stated you have no interest in using separate controllers or emulators yet you assume everybody wants to use a bunch of apps/games like you.

Personally i think all touch controls games be it android or iOS suck and would much rather play with a game pad controller, but that's my opinion and why I prefer to leave my gaming needs to the XBOX.

I'm not assuming everybody wants the same things I do. I'm saying for me the iPad is better because I think it has better apps. To say one tablet is not worse in any way compared to the other is BS. I know everybody wants different things in a tablet, but they both have things that are worse and better.

I see red hot hammer does not meet nail ... meaning you missed my point completely.

Everyone's entitle to their opinion. For me, I say Ipad is worse than my Galaxy Note 10.1. Mainly I use the tablet to surf and watch video and PIM. These factors are much better on the Android.

- Video player supports virtually ALL known formats. Much easier to copy videos into tablet (i.e. plugin cable and copy from ANYWHERE) instead depending on one itunes PC or slow cloud storage.
- Browser - can set user agent as well as legacy Flash support. Plus can download and save any files.
- I use google cloud so most of the essential apps like email, drive, etc are much better on Android.

As far as apps are concerned, most mainstream apps are similar on both platforms so the "ipad has much better apps" is overblown.

You really should have waited for 7.0.4 or even 7.1. Historically, the 2.0 release was WAY more problematic than any other release; not fixed until 2.2 and four updates.

Furthermore, you did not setup your device as new. I have an iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 4 and iPhone 5 and haven't seen a reboot since 7.0 beta 4.

No, they're worse in terms of apps. Phone apps vs tablet apps. iOS seems to have a better game selection too. Sometimes you have to wait months for a game to be available on android. It's harder to find a suitable alternative for games compared to other kinds of apps. My nexus 7 wasn't even compatible with some apps for no apparent reason. It's not like it was old outdated hardware.

You also can't back up your tablet and restore exactly the way it was without having to jump through hoops (at least on nexus tablets). The android tablet experience just sucks in my opinion mainly because of the apps (I use a lot of apps). I really tried to like my nexus 7, but I ultimately couldn't stand it. I always felt like I was missing out. It's been sitting in my drawer collecting dust for the past few months.

I'm not a fan of iOS backup system due to its system setting all or nothing stance.

Any time anyone has a problem with their phone the solution is always "restore as new". So what's the point?

Point in case, the iOS 6 message bug that still plagues certain users. In short it was a bug that waste space on the phone and in the backup. If affected the only ways to fix it is using ibackbot modify the back (jumping through hoops) then restore to that backup. Or restore as new. The issue moves with the back up.

All Apple needs to do (I say that as if this is something easy lol) is put an option to or not to save messages to a backup. That should be an option anyway.

Btw I'm not saying Googles method is any better because it's always been somewhat mysterious to me. Albeit I never spent the time to sit down and figure it out. However when I have reset Android devices I've never had an issue losing things. I just have to set my icons back up and stuff, which I MUCH prefer then completely restoring as new.

Yeah, I agree with you on icloud for the most part, but when it does work, it's amazing. I've never had any problems with it.

I don't agree with your last part, but you're entitled to your opinion.
