It should show up in your "Purchases" tab on the App Store.

Mine does.
Things can get lost if by some chance you've created another Apple ID.
I know I somehow ended up with a second Apple ID, but I can still find my earlier purchases by logging in with my original ID.
Apple also is no help because as of now there is no way to merge 2 Apple ID's into 1 account.

I've never created another Apple ID and I was logged in when I purchased Mavericks. Nor is it under purchases or hidden. Everything else is listed. Even recent items I've bought.

Trators have probably hidden it from you because they don´t want you to use the Perfectly stable, beautiful, fast, efficient and simply powerful OS.

They want to force you to use the ¨NEW OLD¨

OUTDATED, UGLY, SLOW, OLD-FASHONED, BORING, GAME-LIKE OS they've created now.

Thank God for Internet Recovery. Hope they never remove internet recovery mavericks.

If you have purchased Mavericks, you can see that purchase in the iTunes/Store menu - View Account. I have all purchases when I have used my AppleID, back to July 2007 - probably the first time I used my AppleID for a purchase, so, probably ALL my AppleID purchases, including songs through iTunes, and apps through the App Store. If Mavericks doesn't show in that Purchase History, then you didn't use that AppleID to get it.

OS X Mavericks v10.9.5 is listed there. Just not under the Apple store itself. Same and only ID. :s

Good
You should be able to show it again in the App Store.
Same place in iTunes: Store menu-View Account - click "Reset all warnings for buying and Downloading"
Go to your Purchase History, click "Report a Problem"
(That didn't do anything for me, and the click box disappeared briefly, too - but I just clicked on a few things that might be associated :D )
Anyway, you can also send a report, describing that you have a purchase that you want to download again, but is missing from the App Store. The AppleCare folks might have to reset your account somehow. Something here will likely get you some action: https://getsupport.apple.com/Issues.action

This is the reason why I downloaded them all and kept them in two different places. Better to have than not have and need.

Yeah, exactly what I did also, I would always move the Install files into my 2TB External, then update when I felt comfortable. God I was actually loving my old Snow Leopard but when they announced they would stop supporting it, I finally upgraded to Mavericks in June. THEN 10.10 a few days after it was released. That was a big mistake...I reverted back 6 days later.

I know its 10.10.1...have no idea if everything is fixed, if the absolute painful sluggish performance I had has improved or what. I can wait until Im 100% sure, I'm in no rush.

I'm still on Mountain Lion and waiting to see what happens with 10.10.2 and what future enhances with Cindori's Trim Enabler.

I'm badly needing to upgrade as Safari on Mountain Lion has become buggy with Javascript and beach balling endlessly due to Apple's 6.2 update.

I see nobody mentioned that you can Restore Mavericks from a Time Machine backup - a full, bootable, perfect copy of whatever you had on the startup drive before trying Yosemite. (of course, you had to have that Time Machine backup before installing Yosemite)

It's the first menu option in Recovery Mode now.

(Yes, I've done it.)

Not sure the right place to post a small question and can't find any other related threads…

How would an NVIDIA 8800GT get on with Yosemite?

Came with the Mac Pro 2008. Preparing for a clean install of Yosemite.

So Yosemite transparency shouldn't bog down a 8800GT?

Not that I'm aware of! I have the 512MB version running single monitor Don't forget to make a ( bootable) backup your current OS!

Good luck with your clean install, best way to upgrade your Mac OS!

Simply don't! Seriously... If UI performance is important to you DO NOT UPDOWNGRADE TO YOSEMITE.

They really screwed UI performance up with this release. Maybe they fix it with next years OS X or earlier with a point release.

Agreeded with the above. the UI performace in 10.10 is horrific.

Maybe I'll hold back and wait and see for 10.10.2. As I'm running dual 30"s that are fluid for UI performance. As I don't want to do a clean install or upgrade to Mavericks if it turns out Yosemite gets rectified with .2 or .3.

If nothing is fixed performance wise by then. Then I'll do a clean install to Mavericks.

Downgrade from 10.10 to 10.9

Just relax, make sure you have a (bootable) backup of your current OS! Clean install OSX 10.10, hold for the latest update and test drive it!

If it does not meet your needs/likings upgrade your GPU or revert to old OS with the 8800GT!

Try despite others cry! ;-)

I too am thinking about going back to Mavericks, simply because Mavericks was way, way faster and Yosemite does not offer any additional features that I actually use. The new design is good and all, but I liked the old design just as much, and I'd rather take a very fast system over a very slow one.

I do have a Time Machine backup from Mavericks, but since then I have created files all over the place. How can I make sure after restoring to the latest Mavericks backup, that I know what files have changed and been created since then? Is there a way to do this automatically, or do I just have to manually copy/paste the contents of each folder in my home folder (with the exception of Library I'd guess)? This doesn't sound very fool-proof, what if 3 months down the line I remember that there was a file somewhere that I forgot to copy, and all my backups have been overwritten since then? Can't I use Migration Assistant to "migrate" my Yosemite setting/files/etc... to Mavericks?

Downgrade from Yosemite

Hi all,

I did not see a thread on this topic so if there is please point me in the direction.

I have a 2013 MacBook Air 4gig/256 with Mountain Lion. I use Mail, Safari, Office 2008 (I like it because it doesn't have visual basic for applications), Xcode, and a CAD program called ViaCad. I was not planning on upgrading to Yosemite because I didn't want to break my system.

However, I had to buy an iPhone 6 and just bought an iPad Air to use GoodNotes on. (which is fantastic). I was surprised at how much I really like the ability to text and answer calls when using the iPad. I use google to synch my contacts, notes, and email. So I am considering Yosemite. My question is how to down grade back to my old system if I don't like it. What do I have to do?

I have complete Time Machine back up and have made a bootable copy of my hard drive with Carbon Copy. If I don't like Yosemite or have problems, is it better to use Time Machine to go back or use the Carbon Copy bootable copy to copy back?

Thanks

The quickest way should be recover from CCC if you don't like Yosemite. Time Machine should do the job well, but just takes longer than CCC.
