On my 13" Late 2011 MBP with 8GB RAM ...

Every time I use iTunes, it ends up freezing or crashing, even after the update. Happens when iTunes Match tries to download information; updating apps from the App Stor; syncing iPhone or iPad either wired or wirelessly.

Also, Calendar is stuck "Updating..." and isn't pushing any of my changes to my devices, even after I reset them.

Then, sometimes Skype, iTunes, Trine 2, the most random apps, will start running and without changing a setting, the sound jumps to the Apple TV. I have to manually open System Preferences/Sound/Output and switch it back to Internal Speakers.

Don't think this is a bug, but the dock size no longer resets when you delete the dock preference file from /Users/***/Library/Preferences..

Just off The M4... Carbine!!
im still experiencing the 7x5 launchpad issues, i have a 27inch iMac and it just looks awful.

The problem is that the command +/- doesn't work and magic mouses are hopeless. I would expect even with a trackpad - it would still be broken.

heres a screenshot:

(sorry for the messiness, launchpad completely reset and now i have to gain the will power to put everything in place again...)

What are you trying to do? 7 x 5 icons in Launchpad are standard, I did not know you could change that default (I know you can for dock stack's in grid using those commands).

it should be 8x5 thats the problem, plus in dp1 you could change the spacing, now they are just squashed...

i do like the new feature where you hold cmd+alt+ctrl+b during launchpad and it changes your background effect

more things to point out as i have played around with ML:

-messages likes to quit when closed with 'x' (didn't happen on the beta)
- cannot completely transfer apple apps from applications into sub folders (eg, dragging 'game center' into a sub folder 'games' [which is inside applications] will produce a copy into the folder instead of moving the original from apps - this means game center is in two places)

Bug: Macintosh HD window keeps popping up when I'm working. I deleted Menutab, still pops up. Trying to figure out why.

- I see what you mean now, I have 2 24" LED LCD's, not a 27", so I never noticed how odd the layout is until I saw the image from your 27" display -

Huh, I had no idea about any of these. Thanks! I'll check out the Launchpad issue and tweaks.

I have noticed that "Reminders" doesn't stay open in the background when "x'ed" out. Don't know if it needs to as it's most likely working in the background, but would be nice not to have it fully close. Just a pet peeve of mine :)

Interesting about moving core apps. I usually keep them where they are as I don't like to tempt system app issues, although I know you can. Wish I could help ya there.

Still want to change the new dock to black, never liked the silver.

My best advice is to launch Console and see what process is reloading Finder (OS X is blocking a third party app or plugin from accessing a system resource with sandboxing).

Try closing everything down one at a time with "Activity Monitor". Close an non-Apple app, wait to see if it still happens, if so keep going until it stops. Make sure to remove any app's from your login items as well. Most reports indicate social networking app's such as MenuTab, Twitter apps, etc that try to access your Contacts are getting the "talk to the hand" by OS X lol. Hope this helps!

Quicktime Screen Recorder crashes after a while (sometimes a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes. I suspect It may be down to me using the iSight mic as it didn't do it when i made a short video, but as its intermittent times its hard to know.
Just testing it now. It didn't crash but recorded strange clicking through the mic and produced some strange artefacts on the screen.

while we're on the topic of safari 6, i have noticed (and this is going to sound like a pick up on the smallest thing) that when your on facebook viewing a photo, if you slide your mouse from on the screen side to side - the previous page you were on flashes.

it's hard to describe but basically as you move your mouse from the image to the blacked out background, the previous pages flashes and appears on your screen for a brief second

anyone else experiencing this?

My whole system freezes when I open chrome. It wasn't happening yesterday. I installed flash update today so maybe that's the main cause.

I can see a very annoying blink on a Dock when switching from Mission Control to a different space than the one i’m currently in.

one more thing, when holding cmd+h to hide everything so it just shows my desktop - anything open in the menu bar alternates.

eg - Skype and twitter are open.
cmd+h to hide twitter and in turns shows Skype, visa versa for hiding Skype...

i can verify this, in-fact it's any word starting in 'r' for me

jesus that's annoying for certain purposes...
if you know what i mean

Yeah as I originally said typing anything beginning "r" in the bar seems to cause some sort of melt down on the Safari 6 picky meter!

So far for me on my late 2008 13' MBP - 2.53ghz, 8gb ram and nVidia 9400M 256mb:

- Sometimes when I try to search for a word starting with 'R' in Safari 6, it crashes. This was mentioned in the previous page.

- When running a game, I get a constant flickering, making the game unplayable. Anyone know what's wrong? I installed C&C3: Tiberium Wars and it's completely unplayable. I've had it installed on my Mac in the past and played it fine... could it have to do with the built-in graphics card or some refresh rate in ML? Please let me know as I'm dying to play this....

- 3rd party Dashboard widgets don't seem to be able to connect properly anymore

Mail 6.0 not opening Office 2011 attachments

this seems to be an intermittent bug ... sometimes attachments open on clicking, but when it is not working, 2 finger tap to 'open with' doesn't launch the M$ office app either.

possible MIME decoding issue?
