lol sounds like the fanboyism is coming out now that the droid is here

anyways, i feel that this is the best thing to happen. I really hope Apple delivers on the next iPhone instead of just adding a few features rewrapped, well actually not even rewrapped but in the same case.

Consumer wins with competition

Oh i Agree totaly...It makes me sick up a little when i come on these forums and see quite literally the HYSTERICAL states some people get into any time a potential rival to the beloved iphone comes around.

Its like kinda hidden fact that folks can see its a nice phone/device but instead of just say "cool, nice phone" then go back to their obsession with all apple...Instead they tear into the dude who is no doubt just an ACTOR, simply because he is holding the devil droid & reading an autocue.

Some folk really need to get out more...sheesh

BTW i love my iphone, im used to it. I dont care that other phones come on the market in fact i like having a little blast on them instore. Dont you lot just like that there is choice/options out there. Theres room for way more than one.
But threads like these are the reason i personally feel that some iphone/apple owners have that Elite-est aura of being better than anyone else

Hooray for Android ... But not for me anymore ...

I have a HTC Hero ... You can have it ... I do not like it, so I bought myself the iPhone 3GS instead ... And I don't regret doing so.

Maybe this "Droid" is better then the Hero ... But the Android OS still has some maturing to do if you ask me.

And yes I used the Hero in daily life and for work ... I installed a new ROM on it, I "rooted" it ... But still did not like it.

Just my 2c.

Hang on.. Apple use the smuggest bastard in the history of the world for their guided tour, yet you have a problem with the guy that motorola used?

http://www.apple.com/iphone/guidedtour/#large < this guy is much more annoying.

The iPhone 3Gs guy is just a clown.

The Droid guy makes me and, apparently some others, want to do violent things to their computer screens. I don't know what it is, maybe some sort of underlying arrogance, maybe just the fact he kept harping on things that aren't ground-breaking features. There's something there that is just so unbelievably irritating.

I sort of agree but worthy competitor, I do not see. I went and played with one at the Verizon store and as I was walking in heard some tool walking in saying "Where's the DROID?! This thing is gonna be waaaaay better than the iPhone!"

I found one at it's station and within a few seconds of opening it and navigating various things came to the conclusion and confusion that this was what all the fuss was about? I don't want to sound mean but "piece of s**t was what kept coming to my mind." Maybe the demo unit was clunkier than a brand new one but I can't see the quality of this thing upholding and the UI was nothing special..come not think about it, nothing about it was special.

Like the iPhone guy?

Again, like the iPhone guy?

Copy/paste and MMS have been around for 10+ years.
Video recording has been around for about 8+ years.

It's fine if you think the Motorola guy is annoying, but at least admit that Apple use the same stupid tactics ;)

Apple's main advertising tactic is making old features seem groundbreaking!

Like the iPhone guy?

I'll give you that the iPhone guy isn't good, there's no denying that. But he's not nearly as bad as this Droid guy.

Agree to disagree. Bottom line, if I want to watch one or the other, I think I take the iPhone one every time. The Droid video is nothing short of painful.
