Just got my A1117... The bottom was completely bowed out due to just being chucked into a box without padding or foam. It was listed as a parts machine but the only thing wrong with it was it had no hard drive. *Sigh*I once had a seller tell me this was a known defect of the G5, so I reminded him that they weren’t designed to be dropped out of a truck. 🤷♂️
AFAIK there are none screws to install another drive to bays. I was always wondering, which screws can be used.had no hard drive
Can be found with a simple google search with the part numbers from the service manual. (922-6253)AFAIK there are none screws to install another drive to bays. I was always wondering, which screws can be used.
"Aesthetics? What's this?"dangle if they are SSD's

Can you file a complaint with the seller for failing to package the item properly and would it be possible to correct the bowing? I imagine that might require a workshop etc.
I am waiting for his response. Although since he listed as a parts machine I'm sure he wasn't to worried about keeping it intact. We'll see.
Crappy thing is I just got a Radeon X800XT Mac edition (AGP) that was listed as working/tested but artifacts heavily and the guy ended up ghosting me as well after asking for a partial refund as they do not accept returns. Bad luck for me I guess. I am going to send out another round of messages in the morning.
A No Returns policy is only for buyer's remorse: changed mind/doesn't fit/doesn't like it/ found it cheaper elsewhere.
If the buyer states the item is not as described, ebay's Money Back Guarantee trumps your no returns policy. You will provide a prepaid return shipping label and once you get the item back, you have 2 days to refund.
If you still refuse, ebay can refund the buyer, charge your account for the refund, and not require the buyer to return your item. The buyer can leave you negative feedback.
I know nothing about fixing these cases and would end up ruining it even more if I tried.
I am on the hunt for a new case it seems.

Again I agree with TheShortTImer...if it was advertised as working then it should work 100%. If not a return is warranted. Typically those who offer returns allow you to do so for most any reason (such as changing your mind, wrong item purchased, unsuitable to task, etc.) Not offering a return policy does not exempt them from shipping you a working product.Crappy thing is I just got a Radeon X800XT Mac edition (AGP) that was listed as working/tested but artifacts heavily and the guy ended up ghosting me as well after asking for a partial refund as they do not accept returns. Well, I took a look at the original listing and it does seem like there was already minor damage to the case. In my rush to purchase I guess I overlooked that, although it arrived in MUCH worse condition.
I sent out a message about the card and am still waiting for a response. If I don't get one within a day or two I will take it up with eBay.
Yup. They’ve been around for ages actually. SiliconDisk anyone? This exists?

Oooooh-kaaaay... At least it looks funny.
$3,200 USD/£2,683 GBP for a Clamshell 466. I suppose in fairness the condition and extras make it well worth snapping up at that price.
(Deeply sarcastic, just in case anyone thought otherwise.)

It’s probably from that time. This is a brilliant idea. For 2006.
It’s probably from that time. But the big question is, does it connect to the host via PCIe or USB?
