My Quicktake 200 camera takes smart media, but not the common 3 volt; no, this one takes the unobtainable 5v card.
Luckily there was a 2mb card in the camera, and I managed to get a PCMCIA card reader from Australia.

If anyone has a 5v card just hanging around, let me know please and maybe we can come to an arrangement ;)

Cheers :)

Hugh

That is about €23 each. Hardly usurious considering they were about €20 each on release back in the day. Looking at eBay right now, it's not a bad price since individual pop Minidiscs seem to be going for £30/€34 each in the UK.

I bought a MD 4 track recently - turns out the MD data disks it uses are somewhat rare - around £10 each.

I'm still looking for the Sony MDH-2 SCSI MD Data drive for PCs. A couple of years ago one sold for 70 bucks but I didn't get it ... Or one of the two digicams that use MD Data.

Is this the same thing?

Looks like Yahoo auctions in Japan might be your best bet. I have only seen a catalogue on sale at the moment but one might show up. Probably won't be very cheap though.

This did not make me chuckle, it just pissed me off. This seller knows better and is clearly misleading buyers into thinking that this is a real product. Complete scam here. "Mac Mini Pro Edition" it'd be one thing if they said it was a headless MacBook Pro that could be used with an included display or their own, but this is just lies. "along with a Wifi Adapter (for better WiFi coverage)" You need better coverage because you ripped the real antennas away you bonehead.

I reported this listing and I recommend everyone else do the same. Seller has two listings of this kind, both complete lies. Sellers like this should not be allowed to get away with such egregious lies.

While I understand where you're coming from I'm not so sure I would say the seller is engaging in "egregious lies". Yes, it's not an official Mac Mini but Apple doesn't sell a Mac Mini Pro. Perhaps this is the way the seller is calling the item a "Mac Mini Pro". This is further evidenced by the quotation marks he placed around Mac Mini in his description (granted not every reference).

He clearly shows pictures of what the buyer would be getting and, I assume, the correct specifications of the system. He doesn't appear to be trying to mislead a buyer into what they would be getting other than calling it a "Mac Mini Pro" (which may not be malicious). IMO any buyer who claims they didn't get what they thought they were buying (i.e. a Mac Mini) has no standing in a dispute.

It made me chuckle. Seller is a grifter but not egregious. He's not exactly showing a Mac Pro and sending a Mac Mini instead. It takes a whole load of chutzpah to sell off spares and repairs as better than the real thing but Barnum made money by fooling people into thinking an exit was a must-see exhibit. Allegedly.

This actually gave me an idea. I've got a Titanium Powerbook with broken hinges and have had zero luck finding a replacement display assembly at a reasonable price. Might just remove the display and turn it into a psuedo desktop like that. Was kind of wanting an OS9 desktop anyway...

Ah, but what you don’t realize is this seller has invented the first working time machine (after uncovering once-secret blueprints developed during the Soviet era), and this Blue & White Power Mac G3 was manufactured (from the Blue & White’s perspective) just two months ago and still smells like new polycarbonate plastic! The Studio Display is only one month old! Fair price! :D
