I just sold my Powermac DP 2.0Ghz with 2GB
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5837009131&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MESO:IT&rd=1
And it is already been paid and shipped.
But today I got an email from buyer.
"I looked inside and there is no original Apple memory inside this
machine. Apple's memory is made by Samsung and the only thing in this box is 3rd party memory. I need to know where the original Apple memory is and I propose that either you refund me $200 and send me the original memory (2x256mb Samsung chips with the Apple part numbers on them as they came in the computer) or refund me $400 and I will send you all the memory inside this machine and go purchase a 2GB kit directly from Apple.
I am not concerned with what other people do. I wanted a machine with
the original Apple memory inside and was expecting a BTO computer with 2GB of original Apple memory (i.e. 4x256mb or 2x1GB as are the choices on Apple's website). Nowhere in your auction did you specify that this was a 3rd party RAM upgrade. If you had I would not have bid for this machine.
So, you choose. Either take the machine back and refund me in total , send
the memory and refund me $200, or refund me $400 and we'll call it a day. I am not interested in excuses. Please tell me how you wish to proceed based on the options I have given you.
If we can work through this I will still leave you positive feedback and no
one will be the wiser. However, if we cannot work through this I will not
only leave you negative feedback but I will also take this directly to both
eBay and Paypal under both protection policies I am afforded."
This machine came with hynix ram when I bought it.
So I offer the refund (less shipping and ebay fee) and suggest ask someone at the apple store for the ram. And the buyer still didn't reponded me yet. I hate 0 feedback person. He bidded at the last minute without contacting me. (Appraently, the guy didn't read description carefully)
Thank you in advance for your opinion
