No. Do as I told you earlier. Just delete credit card & bank account info. They wont let you do delete them if he intends a dispute and paypal kasi-always makes their buyers win. They steal your money and give it to the buyer and then the buyer has to send the item back (AFTER the refund).

Paypal protects buyers, not sellers.

Don't close the account, just delete the credit & bank info.

yes, close the paypal account, especially if you're leaving town and wont be able to respond to emails.
this happened to me once, i sold something on ebay...the guy waited 45 days to file a complaint with paypal and never tried to contact me. i was traveling overseas and didn't check my email, paypal sent me emails, i didn't respond because i was away and they refunded him his money....

cancel paypal account if you don't want that to happen.

Closing your account may make you look like a scammer, but you're clearly not. This is the best way to protect yourself from chargebacks. Paypal only protects the buyers, not the sellers.

If he files a complaint and you are away having surgery and can't respond, paypal will return all the money back to his account and you will be screwed. This happened to me and it took another 4 months to clear it up and get my equipment back.

Here is my final reply to him.

"From your email. It seems like every problem happened because of your Apple friend.

Here are some comments about previous email from you

1. Here is one line from your email
(You, in good faith, SHOULD refund me $200 for the"memory miscommunication")
-->I don't remember having communication between you and me about the memory before auction ending. Probably you are refering to the communication between you and your friend or your assumption. So there were no miscommunication between you and me.

2. I fulfilled your order by shipping you the computer that I described and what you bid (powermac dp 2.0Ghz and 2.0GB and everything else that I described)

3. Here is one more line
(And you for whatever reasons did not clearly state the facts in your add)
-->I clearly stated that I bought the discontinued model that clarifies that it is not a BTO machine. I think this part is your friend mistake.

4. Here is one more line from your email
(I'll leave it up to you)
-->I hope that you know the answer for this. (The reason for asking $200 is not valid due to 1. So no refund )

5. I am not worry about the feedback. So please do whichever you want do about the feedback.

So I believe that it is very reasoable to end this argument at this point (since you leave it up to me)."

What do you guys think?

No more complain from that guy today. I am still thinking about close paypal and never use it again (it is too scary to use it anymore)

You should. I certainly have after they handled a dispute quite poorly. If you haven't already, check out...

Those are quite a few paypal horror stories! Just when im thinking of selling my 12" pb too and was thinking of going with paypal since thats what most people ask for. Seems there is absolutely no seller protection. What if the buyer pays for my notebook with a CC through paypal and then later on disputes the charge? I'll be screwed. Does anyone know of a better and safer way? I hate ebay as well for pretty much the same reason.
