one dvd must be enough for an operating system. that's 4 gigabytes of compressed data. if they don't plan on bundling demo versions of every microsoft software out there, or include hours of training videos, they mustn't exceed one dvd.
 
I believe that SuSE Linux 9.1 is 2 DVDs :eek:

A commercial DVD can hold approximately 8.5 GB, which is a lot more than a DVD-R.
