In installer go into the Sources folder and try to download community sources as if it were a normal application. It worked for me on the third try, pray it works!

BSD Subsystem will still not download, but others will. If you get the error, you need to clear the queue! Select an app and press install, press the Clear Queue button if visible. Now try installing something...

It seems to be working now... I added Community Sources and ipodtouched.net/repo.xml (<-- this source is to get Customize loaded for 1.1.4) Then I installed BSD Subsystem 2.1

I was getting the same errors. This worked for me

Update the installer

You can solve the package download failed issue by updating the installer from 3.0 to 3.01.

The default installer from ziphone jailbreaking needs to be updated.

If you get the "Package Download Failed" error then be sure to click Clear Queue before you try to download the app. You may need to restart Installer once you've done that but I can't remember. Worked like a charm for me.

i got the same error while trying to download the "ringtones" app..i simply turned off the wifi and downloaded it through EDGE, it worked fine after that

Need to restore

I was having this problem too after upgrading to 1.1.4 and using Ziphone. I used iTunes to do a full restore (which cleared the old BSD Subsystem install info) and then after using Ziphone I was able to do a fresh install of BSD Subsystem without any problems.

Install application called "community sources" in "install" then everything will work.

That program is new and it's a must-have, if you have an older version then try to upgrade in "Upgrade"

problem

i have ipod touch 1.1.4 jailbreaked with ijailbreak
i was getting download fail, cannot connect to host error
i installed community sources and everything is working fine but there is a problem, lots of applications are missing !! like Labyrinth, and more importantly MobileScrobbler which is vital for me , also i just check and i cant find dropcopy.
can anyone help me, i just want to install these two apps, i dont care about the rest. pleasse help, i looked everywhere in the internet , there is no information about this.

Found the fix. You have to update installer. Go to Sources then Refresh. And It should work. You will be prompted with a message to update. Do so.
