Error: Package Download Failed!

I can't install anything either, even after doing the "Community Sources" thingy. Each and every application that I try to install seems to crash Installer. The app downloads fine, the while it says "Installing" the app crashes and I'm back to the home screen (and without anything installed).

Anyone got any ideas as to what I can do? I really don't want to restore it, jailbreak it again and re-download all my apps...

Can't re-install

I am having the same problem. It all stems from me not being able to SSH into my phone, so I googled and found that I should reinstall BSD Sub. So I tried and can't seem to be able to get past "package download failed"

Things I've tried:
- re installing re launching Installer
- rebooting phone then doing above
- uninstalling OPen SSH then re installing it
- uninstalling then reinstalling community sources

I really REALLY don't want to restore. I guess I could restore from backup, but what I really want is to get is my videos off my phone that I took with iphone video recorder.

Annoying, anyone with any progress on reinstalling BSD?

Never did solve the problem, but used File Browser to get files off the phone. Guess I will just wait for 2.0 to be jailbroken/unlocked and released then reflash my phone.

aaarrggh Naughty Error

Hi Guys,

I have a 2.5G 8GB iphone, which has been jail broken using Ziphone, the details are as follows;

Version = 1.1.4 (4A102)
Model = MB213B
Modem Firmware = 04.04.05_G

I have recently updated the installer to version 3.11, and now i seem to get the error message of "Package download failed" for most apps i try and install. It does allow me to install a random few, but things like Summerboard, NES, BossPrefs etc just produce this error message.

I have tried resetting the network settings, ive tried holding the home button for 7 seconds then restarting installer, tried reinstalling installer. Tried pretty much everything other then jailbreaking it all again which im not keen to do.

Can anyone explain how to resolve this problem in simple terms as i dont particulary understand all the technical terminology which goes with these devices. any help would be massively appreciated.
