Earl gray and honeybush blend.

Sounds divine. I love blue cheese (which one are you tucking into?) and German rye (yum), dates - gorgeous - and, but, of course, French press coffee.......
Not a clue. I bought it by the pound slice. Fourme d'ambert if I had to guess. A bit softer than what I remember the last time I bought it.

Cup of sencha before dinner.

I've got a chocolate espresso bundt cooling on a wire rack. Had a lovely lunch at the French bistro near work. I was craving Thai but the wait for a table was too long. Did go to the store and buy several pounds of delicious, plump but adequately dry dates. With the weather cooling now, a sticky toffee pudding is in order several weeks from now.

Three eggs, simple fruit salad with chopped kale and walnuts, some chopped blue cheese, a very large red plum, and a slice of dark German rye.

That said, I was just about finished with breakfast before realizing today was Friday, and I don't work Fridays and usually sleep in a little after staying up. Oh, well.

Fresh French pressed Costa Rican SO Tarrazu roasted at just below 'medium.' Usually buy this at a darker roast, but I was feeling adventurous. So good I may have a third mug. Mug, not cup. A 13 oz. mug to be exact.

I suspect by mid-day I'll regret drinking this much coffee.

@Zenithal I haven't forgotten our conversation. Haven't got proper time to check things troughly to answer your questions. I will when I get some more downtime. ;)

Sitting down with a wonderful cup of a espresso combo that hopefully will wake me up after a lot of reviews reading on sportwatces tonight. AW3 was a huge disappointment to me.
But I think I have a winner for my needs now. But no one knows for sure until it's ordered :D

I don't... pucks?

Another round of coffee. The remnants of Major Dickason. Still palatable but staler. The FP is very forgiving.

Having a carafe with heavy cream. A little goes a long way. I usually stick with almond milk or whole milk for coffee or tea. I like to indulge now and again. Unfortunately, I can't find my rum, so I can't indulge the way I'd like to.

Stopped into a new, small cafe near work. They were busy. Was asked if I wanted it done through a Bunn. Thought that was a weird choice for a cafe until the barista pointed it out. It was an automated aeropress type of machine. I chose to have a cup of single original Costa Rican made in it. Delicious.

When I got to work, I sat down to look at its info sheet. 20-90 PSI depending on your settings, various agitation of grounds, and capable of delivering some kind of foam/crema in concentrated brews. I am not impressed by the price. It's nearly $4,000.

Amusing anecdote. About a month ago, I was watching some videos on YouTube and came across a place in NYC (which I didn't visit on the account of not remembering it) that brewed special batch SO beans. I'll try to find the video, but they had build their own brewing system similar to an aeropress in theory but different. After seeing the Trifecta in action and recalling that video, I'm almost positive they lifted the concept from Bunn. Of course, their machines are prettier than Bunn's $4K Goliath sized machine.

On topic: Green tea. Sencha. With a couple of dates.

FP Yirgacheffe.

In other news, I just ordered from a place called Klatch coffee. A few single origins to taste. I was given the recommendation through a contact and they seem to be highly rated. Quite affordable for a third-wave roaster, averaging $14 for 12 oz.

Also, saying the word 'Klatch' is so much fun. Right up there with 'fahrvergnügen.'

Enjoying freshly ground Kenyan beans. The milk and brown sugar is ready while the coffee is ground.

Sounds delicious - do enjoy.

Well, then, you hardly need an introduction to the writings of Terry Pratchett.

I've read most of his works. That Klatch hadn't even come to mind. :p I was given the recommendation this morning and didn't bother to look them up until an hour ago. I don't think I've ever been this excited to try out a new roaster...

I've been really improving on my cappuccino technique. It's amazing how much progress I've made just in a couple of weeks owning the espresso machine. I really thought it would take me longer to dial in everything and learn to extract a proper shot first.

Seeing the progress so quickly feels great.

Large 14 oz mug of Kenyan AA and a slice of death by chocolate cake, homemade. I can already feel my waistline expanding.

Ah, well, on the topic of Kenyan AA - what can I say, but enjoy.

On the topic of expanding waistlines - I know the feeling. Happens to me every time whenever I return home......after an extended period working abroad.

Marzipan baked into so many good things. The stollen. The poppy seed rolls. Thankfully, I began my 'diet' months ago and have slimmed down in light of the holidays. I abstained last year. It was torture.
