Dunn’s Brothers in the trusty Keurig.

Ahhh, Friday; my second favorite “F” word....right behind fodka.

Mug of Kenyan with cream. Deciding on whether to make a heart healthy omelette, porridge, meusli or skip breakfast and have a large lunch.

Cooled down pressing of Kenyan, two shots of espresso, heavy cream, splash of milk, and ice blended together.

Would have splashed in some liqueur but I need to go grocery shopping in a bit.

Sipping a delicate yet deliciously fresh cup of Dunkin‘ Donuts original blend. Sadly it’s the last k-cup in the box. I must, must, stop at the Holiday gas station and replace it the first chance I have. Perhaps I shall call and reserve a box just to be safe.

There are 10 trillion types of Kenyan coffee, y'all are going to have to be a lot more specific because not all of it is any good - and that's before ruining it with milk and sugar.

Kenyan AA is what most of us drink. Some coffee varieties are enhanced with dairy or sweeteners. Just a touch. Though I'd love to see a listing of 10 trillion types of coffee originating from Kenya. I wasn't even aware there were 10 trillion varietals of coffee bean. Or were you being petulant?

Some of has have been posting in thread for years. You come waltzing in with an incredibly disgusting attitude. Sit with us, converse, and you may learn a thing or two about coffee.

Welcome to the espresso forum (or thread even).
I’d like to hear more of your coffee habits/drinking/experience/knowledge, rather?
We’re not all drinking Kenyan or Ethiopian on this forum either by the way :)
Started out with mostly African beans for sure, usually a safer bet for beginners.
But I’d like to experiment a lot for sure. Likes a lot of different coffee, and even ‘ruining’ it with various additionals.

Nothing disgusting in his attitude, I’d think. Just a little short and strong for a first comment.
Your comment wasn’t any better. Nobody is attacking you.
We may all learn, maybe you too, if you don’t take it so personal. ;)

Seems like I go toward this, at the moment :D

Having some Kenyan at the moment. Will make more in a half hour to have with three eggs cooked in butter, sliced tomatoes from the garden, whole wheat sourdough bread drizzled with olive oil, some olives, a bit of cashel and some walnuts for heart health.

His post was of little substance much like the rest of his posts. I also don't feel attacked. I see silliness, I call out silliness. If I wanted to read twaddle, I'd read my President's tweets.

Good choices all.

-Butter is better than margarine
-eggs aren't that bad
-olivie oil is great for your heart
-as walnuts are too

and lastly what are cashels? Cashews?

Blue cheese from Northern Ireland, I think. I've bought it a few times and like it over other easily available blues. I stopped eating cashews a while back. Pop one and you find yourself half a kilo in.
[doublepost=1528895804][/doublepost]Erm, South Ireland, apparently. Tipperary... as the old song goes.

Already there you go wrong in my view, just because you have that president, maybe you should learn from that.
He have come to that post of a reason and as an American ‘choice’.
Some love him some hate him. Either way it comes from people’s dreams, fears AND projections. Remember that.
He might change America, but not necessarily the way he thinks. Because people see themselves in him with their upsets.
So maybe you should’t equal this guys 1st post in a forum with someone you obviously don’t like, right?

Exactly.

Actually, I'm in Kenya at the moment, and yes, Kenyan AA is what is served here all the time.

Kenya is one of those countries - precisely because they grow both to a very high standard - where the quality of the tea and the quality of the coffee served are both invariably excellent.

So traveling, and like always, I like to have some good coffee, even with a local small coffee shop, I like long slow mornings with my coffee first. Before leaving, before dealing with other people ... :D

In the past, I've taken one of the Chemex, sometimes the smaller one with a nice hand grinder and beans, a few times the big one with my fave electric kettle, an electric grinder (not our large burr grinder).

__however__

That requires filters, and packing a large glass brewer - plus a more precise hot water delivery device (you need something with some pour control). So I do love the change up a French press provides, no filters, just needs hot water from any source (could even be a pot on the oven, a large bowl in the microwave), but my last glass one didn't make it from a trip years ago.

My solution?

Just ordered this:

34 ounces of 18/10 polished stainless, dual wall, 2-layer filter, said to be built like a tank (4.8/5 on Amazon ~ 500 reviews). I'll just get some fresh grind on the first day, it's only for 3 mornings, so I think this will be the perfect road device :D

Nice purchase. Almost purchased that. I have a lot of these all stainless steel presses. Some I simply hide before whipping them out around the holidays. No questions arise as a result.

First one I bought wasn't double walled for some reason. I've still got the scarring on my knuckles from when I burned them.

I do dig on the glass French presses, there's something really fun about watching the process, it's a classic design. But this is specifically for road trips, so I can certainly appreciate the durability - plus, for in room coffee where there's not an option to keep it warm, it should maintain heat much better than the Chemex.

I could have sworn I still had an Aeropress, but I haven't seen it in a decade, and it didn't turn up anywhere when I looked. Maybe a casualty of a previous life :D
