I liked this video because I remember being the totally clueless guy. I've actually done taste tastings for scotch but have participated in one for coffee tastings. It's seems like a great idea to speed up the learning process concerning the tasting notes.

Thank you for sharing this; it was extremely interesting and very enjoyable to watch.

My local shop/store - for the second consecutive week - did not receive a delivery of organic milk, which means that I am still out of both organic milk and organic cream. Normally, they put aside a litre of organic milk for me each week when it is delivered to them, and I collect it as needed.

That deficiency shall be remedied tomorrow, as I phoned the cheesemonger's, and they will put some aside for me.

Meanwhile, I am sipping a mug of coffee - black coffee - from El Salvador, a blend of washed and red honey processed coffee.

Normally, I don't take sugar in coffee, (apart from espresso), but was prepared to permit myself a small amount of organic brown sugar in the event of the coffee being too acrid and bitter; it wasn't; it is nice and smooth and a little sweet.

My espresso machine looking at me 👀 when I am pushing a certain combo of buttons at 6:30 PM, for Morning Espresso, and thinking: ok I am at your service anytime, wonder when she will return next time? Odd hrs!

Delicious 😋

We have three coffee machines --
  1. Aldi coffee pod machine to make coffee before one is truly awake
  2. Simple De'Longhi espresso machine for when one is awake
  3. Aeropress for in between times.
In the cupboard, no longer used --
  1. Two different plungers, one large, one small
  2. Coffee Filter Funnel & Filters
  3. Moka style stove top coffee machine
  4. Pack of Daiso Coffee bags (fill the bag with ground coffee, steep in water)
I appreciate that as a coffee lover, I don't have nearly enough different devices stored in the cupboard. However, many, such as the bench top Melitta Drip machine and the Cold Brew Coffee machine have been passed on to the charity shops.

Sometimes, you will get a craving to use one of these devices and sip and savour and thoroughly enjoy the resulting coffee.

I wouldn't mind your hot chocolate recommendation(s)!

As would I! We do have Caotina here in Switzerland but other brands welcome.
My local shop/store stocks the standard Bourneville hot chocolate (perhaps, Cadbury's?)

For the gourmet stuff, I'm afraid that I shall have to search further afield; I do recall that my cheesemonger's stocks (or, used to stock) excellent artisan produced hot chocolate, as did one or two good local delis.

hmmm, I looked at just the pour-over devices I have and counted 6.......best not inventory my coffee devices any further I decided

I do know I have an old style percolator put away somewhere; a better performer for camping trips when compared to the old style "camp" coffee method my older cousins would use

Thoroughly enjoyed at least two excellent coffees (one of which was from El Salvador, the other, - which was consumed in an Italian coffee shop - I think, hailed from Italy) earlier today.
