So … ya ever get into an espresso rut … and stop for enough days till ya feel the need to start up again?
I've done it, when caffeine start to feel like an addiction, I take some pause.
But it can be enough with a day, to feel the difference. If I don't feel any difference, I can stop a few more days, not often that it happened though. But I really rather enjoy my espresso's than letting it become an addiction.
I usually only drink my double-espresso in the morning, whenever that is, and it doesn't feel like an addiction. If I get into a habit of making more than 1 double espresso's/day, I do feel the need to cut down soon enough.

Just finished my second espresso of the morning. Feelings of yum and jitters.

For the last two days I've been using steam to froth up my milk rather than adding hot water, so it's much less diluted. Haven't decided if I prefer it that way. It's stronger and hotter - just like I like my men. (Oops! Don't tell my wife.)

I think I've settled on steaming my milk. The only downside is that I have to wait for a minute after I turn up the boiler to generate the steam. That's a minute of my life every day that I'm not getting back. Then there's the slight moisture of the steam in the air. What a world! What a world!

My coffee supply is well replenished at the moment....some new coffee beans from Rwanda (light roast, natural and anaerobic processed), some more of the red bourbon beans from Colombia that I love, and also something new from Hawaii that's still on it's way....the Hawaiian coffee is part of a shared subscription and I never look to see what it is before it arrives

That sounds amazing; do enjoy.

Beautiful first espresso.

The second one's preparation was derailed when I notice water dripping on my grinder - coming from the ceiling with a bathtub just above it. The quality of the pull is no longer on my mind.

Just had an delcious double espresso, in a meeting with higher power, before I hit the road in a few minutes.

In afternoons I usually have my morning espresso, in evenings these days espresso can't tempt me.

I found my way back to chicory coffee in evenings - I've had that before, and it have evolved very nicely since then as well. I really can't stand coffeine-free espresso, and I am not so fond of warm tea either.
Green tea fermented into Kombucha is another thing, anf I drink/make it in waves/periods, so to speak.

I've been down with the cold and couldn't enjoy a nice cup of espresso for days. Not that I haven't had any, but couldn't really enjoy them. Today, I finally had one and fully felt it. Small blessings.

Coffee grinder is choking today since it received a dosing with bathtub water yesterday. As a registered enthusiast, I have to report my failure of not weighing the water before it went into the hopper. Today is an English Breakfast day.

In lieu of trying to tear apart the soggy grinder, I decided to buy a new one. It was my wife's idea since my birthday is coming up. I had been thinking about buying a new one for quite a while, even asking for brand opinions in this thread. I had just never pulled the trigger.

I know what you mean about meetings "with higher powers".

Actually, I endured (suffered, survived) three hours of that this very morning, and thus, espressos were not just very welcome but were rather necessary.
