EU Apple Watch 10 Pre-Order Thread

I ordered a Black Ultra 2 with Milanaise Band - estimated delivery date was october 17-24.
I canceled the order yesterday and ordered a Black Ultra 2 with the green Alpine Loop (est. delivery september 26).
Today I got the info that it is already shipped.

It has arrived already!! Way too early, so nice 👌🏻 And that while yesterday it looked like it would not happen today.Oh good, I got a smaller time frame. First one was between 9.00 and 19.00 and now it’s estimated between 12.30 and 16.30. So hopefully I can set it up before I have to cook dinner
It’s a 42mm Apple Watch 10 with a plum sport band! And I love the packaging!
So I guess I’m busy today getting to know my first Apple Watch. And I’m retiring my Garmin today

Still waiting on my natural titanium 42mm series 10. Gah. It's DHL, so I either get it today or I get to deal with a "you weren't home (lie, we didn't check) so we're going to deliver it to a service point on Monday"

That should never happen at express. They got payed extra for the more speedy and reliable delivery. Like mentioned before DHL and DHL Express are so far apart that they even use different apps for tracking and sending stuff.

I photographed it in three different light conditions. The band is a very deep purple. I really like it. In the shadow it’s very dark and in the daylight it’s really purple.
lint is visible within one second though, as you can see.

I ordered it as an addtional band, but I also have the dark cherry one. From your photos they look nearly identical.
From the product photos om my Color calibrated display it looks almost the same indeed. The plum has a tiny bit more blue in it, as far as I can tell.
I wanted to buy the dark Cherry one as well, I saw it for €19. But I thought it maybe was too similar to the plum one. So then I got the clover one. That’s definitely different! 😄

It arrived! Anyone gotten the "play anything from the watch's speaker" to work? I don't really see the option say in Apple Music to just play through the watch speaker. It behaves like before and wants to play on BT/Airplay.
edit: got it working by long pressing on "iphone" (to stop it from playing to there) and maybe it was a prerequisite to also have "silent mode" disabled from the control centre.

This purple reminds me the default color of GBA and GameCube from Nintendo in 2001. Nice color !

Kinda not used to it now. It looks so much bigger due to the black. But it also looks so much cleaner with the shiny black seeming like one pice with the glass.

My Ultra 2 Satin Black with Black Milanese Loop just got delivered (Netherlands).
No pre-order, this morning I just entered the Apple Store located in Rome downtown, asked for a 46mm Aluminium black with Milanese loop, waited like 30 minutes and walked out with my new watch on the wrist...

Excluding classic mat silver, I think Jet Black is the first time Apple nailed a color on a aluminium Apple Watch.
Here’s the six and the ten. Both are the small model.
Also tried a few of my third party and the solo loop armband. They still fit the smaller model just fine. But really sports loop and Milanese are the way to go. Own a few leather bands as well and they just get tonthick under the wrist and never really sit comfortably snug for my taste.

Is that the previous link bracelet? I guess it doesn't fit as well as the new straps? Do you perhaps have any close-up photos of the lugs?

if there is any difference to the new bands it’s very very tiny.
that link bracket is if Ali express. I never use it because it’s heavy and pulling on my hair all the time. 🤣

Could you please measure how wide the Milanaise band is?
I also have the black Ultra but with a third party Milanaise with such a lock, but it looks so small regarding the proportions. So it would be interesting if the original is bigger. I did not found the sizes anywhere in the net.
