I thought it would be nice for all of us EU iPad Pro Pre-Orderers to have our own thread.
So, if anyone in the EU gets their order moved to preparing to ship or/and shipped we can all know.

I pre-orded in The Netherlands
iPad Pro 12.9, 1TB, WIFI, No Engraving, Space Gray
also I also ordered an Apple Smart Folio in Deep Navy (Delivered already 4 May)

Current status: Processing

Est. Delivery date is 21 May to 28 May
confirmation email was received at 12 mins pass opening time (given all the issues I think this was still quite early)

Looking forward to seeing what all the other EU pre-orders also have.

Same as you for silver iPad Pro 12.9, 256Gb, WiFi, no engraving. Received confirmation mail about 7 minutes after pre-orders went live.

Still processing with no movement since pre-order. Delivery date 21-28 May. Fine by me though, ordered Logitech Combo Touch that has already set date for June 8, so I'll have to handle it for a few days with some extra care.

Was thinking the same. That’s probably why Apple say available second half of May, and don’t mention a specific launch date.

Since when does Apple not deliver preorders straight from China? In my experience that was always the case.

I heavily doubt that. Why would they launch at a later date in Europe? And I don’t think it would say 21st to 28th of May if that were the case. Because they then would have to deliver exactly on the 28th if they want to match their ETA.

Which would be very weird for Apple - in my experience they always either match or exceed their delivery estimates.

It's been the same with the M1 MacBook Pro release last year. Pre-ordered within minutes after shop opening, and the date range was also 1 week and always the last date shown.

EU pre-orders ship from various warehouses, mine, e.g., always from Prague. 99% of all my pre-orders arrive on launch day, and are shipped 1-2 days ahead of it.
US receives them mostly directly from China, that's when the bulk shipment to EU also happens, but the individual shipments in Europe are then distributed in one of the EU warehouses.

So I guess it's the same with the iPad Pro - we'll see movement around Wednesday.

Sehe gerade, du kommst auch aus Deutschland ? Ja wie gesagt, meine letzten Bestellungen mit längeren Lieferzeiten, kamen immer am ersten Tag des angegebenen Zeitraumes. Zuletzt der HomePod, normales iPad und ein Armband für die Apple Watch hatten in der Mail ein Lieferzeitraum, der eine Spanne von einer Woche hatte. Jedes Mal wurde das letzte Datum angezeigt, kam jedoch immer am ersten Tag aus der Mail an. Also das war die letzten Jahre immer so. Denke einfach das hier die iPads und iMacs in den Lagern liegen und von Tschechien aus für Deutschland verschickt werden am Mittwoch/Donnerstag.

In my Apple Store app it mentions a delivery range of 21st to 28th also though, and I’m in the Netherlands. So I’m not sure to what extent this is true.

either way, I ordered the space grey 12.9” iPad Pro with 1tb and engraving. Delivery estimate is 21st till 28th for me, still in processing.
