It's been the same with the M1 MacBook Pro release last year. Pre-ordered within minutes after shop opening, and the date range was also 1 week and always the last date shown.

EU pre-orders ship from various warehouses, mine, e.g., always from Prague. 99% of all my pre-orders arrive on launch day, and are shipped 1-2 days ahead of it.
US receives them mostly directly from China, that's when the bulk shipment to EU also happens, but the individual shipments in Europe are then distributed in one of the EU warehouses.

So I guess it's the same with the iPad Pro - we'll see movement around Wednesday.
Yeah, I think so it will happen. But the status change must be this week or beginning of next week to preparation to ship

iPad Pro 11", 256 GB, wifi, space grey, with engraving.
Current status: Processing.
Email confirmation: 7 minutes after opening time.
Estimated delivery: May 21st - 27th
Location: Spain

I'm confident it will arrive on the 21st. amazon.es says iPad Pro's will be sent on the 27th but elcorteingles.es says they will sent on the 21st.

I ordered 5 min after launch, it started out as 21st-28th then changed to arrives on 28th

In my Apple Store app it mentions a delivery range of 21st to 28th also though, and I’m in the Netherlands. So I’m not sure to what extent this is true.

either way, I ordered the space grey 12.9” iPad Pro with 1tb and engraving. Delivery estimate is 21st till 28th for me, still in processing.
Interesting, but the first date is to 99% the delivery date. Is your cc charged?

Maybe everybody should look at the cc of them charged. That would be interesting too.

Seems like the two Spanish orders in here show 21-27 while other EU ones are showing 21-28, I wonder what that could mean?

iPad Pro 12.9 256gb wifi Space Grey. Confirmation 14:12 after some troubles with the payment wall.

The app shows processing and expected delivery 21-28 may. Germany.

hopefully we will have them next week. I received a customized Apple Pencil this week and I only got tracking from Czech Republic even though all engraved items come from China so I expected something similar.

That’s interesting and good to know! I haven’t pre-ordered anything from apple in a really long time.

Sorry if bit off topic, but does anybody have any knowledge what’s the availability at Apple resellers in EU?

I ordered iPad Pro 11’’ 256 GB Silver from a large electronics chain in Nordics (Elgiganten/Gigantti) that is an Apple authorized reseller. Their website currently says “delivery starting 25 May (not confirmed)”. I made the order same weekend when pre-ordering started at Apple.

Do you think there’s any possibility to get my iPad delivered around same time with those people ordering directly from Apple or should I prepare to wait much longer? Do Apple typically provide the resellers any inventory before the launch date of products or how does it work?

It isn’t make sense. I hope you get it on the 21st

I think we just have to wait until 2-3 days before May 21 in order to get some shipping updates, probably on 19th.

When I preordered the iPhone 12 Pro Max I got the shipping update with an email from Apple the day before the release and actual delivery, so this mean that it was distributed directly from a warehouse in EU (instead of direct delivery from China like for the US citizens) and distributed to another national warehouse, and then scanned and sent from there to the final location.
Right now all our iPads (12.9” model) are being shipped from China to EU: at the end of the day there is one first batch, sent to US (and people there are notified) and to the rest of the world as well, EU included.
Credit cards are probably going to be charged next Monday or something like that.

Anyway, here’s my order info
Location: Italy

Model: iPad Pro 12.9” SG 256GB, no engraving

Delivery: confirmation email arrived 5 minutes after preorders started, with 21-27 May as delivery window.
The order in the Apple website immediately stated “arrives May 27” instead.

Order status: Still processing and obviously CC has not been charged yet.

Order: 12.9” iPad Pro 512GB Cellular Space Grey
Confirmation: 14:12
Estimated Delivery: May 21st-27th
Location: Switzerland

If Apple hasn’t changed anything, these are all sitting in Italy and will ship 1-2 days before. That’s what happened with both iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max. AirTags even arrived earlier than the indicated date.

Preorder was a nightmare as the website kept losing the iPad from my cart. For the AirTags it was ok but I used the app to order the phones and that was flawless.
