I come from an iPhone 8 and I have to say I am really impressed. I definitely don't regret going with the Max.

This is my first encounter with Face ID and it's amazing how flawlessly it runs.

A quick thought to all of you still waiting on their delivery.

Supposed to be delivered today, but now they're saying that they weren't given enough to cover demand. No hints as to whether the wait will be days, weeks or months... :mad:

Well, that sucks big time, don't really like Mediamarkt, they are not that cheap, service is mediocre.
Hope you'll get it soon though.

Got mine as well, and I have holidays too, sadly only 1 week, and it doesn't stop there, work to be done in my new apartment.

They should have known that before and inform their customers of delivery estimates upon placing the order. But well that's me and why I don't order Apple products from resellers/third-parties.

That just won't help, it's Mediamarkt.

I just wish it would automatically unlock to the home screen. Definitely gonna take some getting used to having to swipe up as well
 
Awesome phone and just gigantic compared to the 6S I've been using. :D
Gold? More like copper. The pictures I've seen do not do the colour justice.

Well thank you. Even though the phone arrived in the wee hours at the airport and has been out for delivery for about 4 hours now I am still waiting for DHL to ring at my door. First time and hopefully last time I get DHL delivering my orders. UPS arrives always in the morning.
 
Tracking on UPS says delivery today but I called as my phone is still in Germany and they told me not to expect it before monday ...

That's awful, hopefully they are wrong.

It's an amazing phone, upgraded from a 6S which was no slouch, first time FaceId user, works so well.
I don't have a case yet, won't take it with me yet, have to wait for my number transfer from one to the other provider as well.

Anyone knows a decent leather case brand for a normal price instead of Apple ridiculously priced case (booklet or whatever it's name is).

I agree. Also, what was everyone talking about face id being a pita? It's less intrusive - pick it up and swipe. I don't see any delay unlike touch id which requires you to press on a small part of the phone and fails some of the time. Haven't had an face id fails yet in several hours.

Edit: hm, okay, I just experienced the pita with horizontal face id not working. :/
 
I finally got mine delivered at home about an hour ago. Xs Max in Silver and the case which arrived on Wednesday in lavender gray. Not happy though with DHL delivering it so late, not happy at all!

Great, that's why I like UPS. They'll do everything to get your package to you on time.

I must admit I was flabbergasted when it arrived. When I look at the tracking now it went directly from Germany (9.18am) to my door (3.44pm) while I was being told to wait until monday .
 
I ordered mine at mid day on the order opening day via -Mobile Germany on the phone. The guy who took my order confirmed all my details and said everything was ok. No phone received and never had an order confirmation by SMS/email which he said I would. I can only guess he screwed up somewhere. Not impressed.

But I do see now, for some reason, a contract end in November.....
