I always thought Surf Blue was more of a teal/aqua type color but doesn't look it there. Interesting. I don't own one.The buttons tell me denim, is what it is:
Denim and surf are similar in concept but Denim is a very flat matte chemical composition while Surf Blue has fluorescent glow in the dark.Nice ! I will post some follow-up shots, once the band is here.
Great info, thanks! (you know them allDenim and surf are similar in concept but Denim is a very flat matte chemical composition while Surf Blue has fluorescent glow in the dark.
Denim is a surprisingly satisfying band to come across later in one’s collecting
I def want this band, the black and orange trail loop knock off… what is the best way to buy them, are they the same as the ones on amazon? I’m not too familiar with Alibuy.Well the 4 of these third-party ones I ordered a couple of weeks ago arrived on Friday (21 Oct 2022) – quick delivery from China cheap shipping services.
They are really very good for £9 ($10) each, vs. $£€99 each for Apple official ones. I'd give them a 9/10 score.
- Clips:
These slide into the watch perfectly lined-up and as secure, they look almost identical to Apple's ones, that's how good third-parties have gotten!
- Strap:
The straps are only ~half a mm thinner than the official ones, and are M/L sizing rather than the S/M of the official one I have (though I was considering a M/L official one anyway), and TBH there is very little difference for most users between the S/M & M/L sizes of these.
I prefer the Trail Loops to the Sport Loops as they don't have that bulging piece of plastic at the end of the material bit on the Sport Loops, which digs into your arm when resting it on a table (eg. typing all day!) – so it's great that Apple offer it. But I'm really not sure why Apple are selling Trail Loops at $£€99, compared to the previous velcro Sport Loops that sell for half that at $£€49?
See these very quick pics I took, where the official Apple one is the shorter one on the right in all shots:

Also accessories (and obscene SSD mark-up) keep hardware/base model prices lower. Wasn’t everyone accepting $999 for the Ultra price? Much like the first gen iPad was hundreds lower than expected at $499.Does one wash these... if so how? lol!
While Apple's margin is seemingly high, they clearly have huge overheads (stores/staff), VAT/sales taxes, large numbers of used returns/swap-outs due to preference and/or getting the right size (especially the 12 sizes on those Solo Loops/Braided Solo Loops!), and those are all not sold as new again (AFAIUI, they sell them in bulk at a fraction of the retail price –like 10-20%– to auction sellers et al., along with new overstock when a new range is released).
So while, yes, it does make them decent money, it's not as disgusting after all these things have been taken into account.
I mean just trust me when I tell you to see the band in this one instance as a very subdued and middle gray. And it looks even less ironstone because it’s catching a lot of blue sky.
I’ll do one soon. Succulent almost looks gray it’s so low-key.Hello, does anyone have a comparison of colors Succulent and Beryl?
Try Ebay, as loads seem to be appearing on there now, instead of having to import using Ali Express from China. They're likely the same or very similar.I def want this band, the black and orange trail loop knock off… what is the best way to buy them, are they the same as the ones on amazon? I think i actually prefer what appears to be a slightly blacker color of the band in the knock off.

I (lazily) find my World Cup selections to be solid A and B HoF tiers; if I neglected those others it’s because they’re new and/or obvious:My last recollection of HOF Sport Bands includes:
@athousandbands—I hate to throw out a late night query, but the last list I can find classifies your HOF Sport Bands as: "Papaya, spearmint, rose red, peach, surf blue, lavender gray, mellow yellow, cornflower, dragon fruit, seafoam, red raspberry, Hermes, cloud, blue2, flamingo, yellow, and blue horizon." Any more recent bands in consideration? Does Plum really not make the cut? Ultraviolet? Mallard? Just wondering what is on the bubble and what is in the ballot for the incoming class. And yes, I am rooting for the Phillies! Thanks...
