Is this the pride band from 2016?
Yes, and it's very interesting to see one appear in Australia. These were supposedly only given out in the US for the SF Pride parade in 2016, but I've been told by some people that they were also given out for a Pride event in London that same year, then later what was left was given out at a Mardi Gras thing in Australia. This listing seems to back that up, which is key because I've never heard anything else of it.

anywho, good yoink!

Hey, does anyone with an Ultra also have classic buckles that they can test the fit with? getting reports that they don't play nice together and I want to see some pics if anyone can.

This is the best shot I have of it right now. I’m assuming you’ve heard about the lugs not playing nice. They’re okay…certain angles appear worse than others.

so they fit, just not comfortably?
Yes, they fit...just not as seamless as the trail loop lugs. If you take a look at the top, the angle is different. Coming from the side, you can see it doesn't protrude like a 42/44/45mm band on a 38/40/41mm watch.

Ah okay, thanks for the pic and anecdote! I heard of some people complaining of the fit, I assumed the 42mm lugs would be too narrow and the leather would rub up against the titanium. Either way, doesn't seem like the classic buckles should be used with the Ultra.

much appreciated!

You're welcome. I haven't noticed the leather rubbing against the titanium. It's actually one of my go to bands for work, in the office. I wore it yesterday. I enjoy the look when I ignore the lugs (can be tough at times LoL) or see it from a different angle.

Apple should sell replacement lug kits like they do for the link bracelet with the extra link set, that way you can switch out your 42mm lugs for 45mm if needed. I know that's asking too much though, especially since classic buckles have been out of production for half a decade almost. I could maybe see it as a possibility if they were to ever come back!

I wish Apple would have released a titanium version of the link bracelet. Instead I purchased one from Nomad. It’s really nice…. but an Apple version would have been killer…. even if the thing cost 1k I would have bought it in a New York minute.

I admit I wish we got a high end titanium band to match the Editions, but i guess the special pins will be all we get for those.
