What’s inscribed on the flat side of the pin? Can’t really make it out….

It's a specialty-engraved pin for Jony Ive to celebrate his 50th. pics here:
This one-of-a-kind Apple Watch was intended as a 50th birthday gift to Jony Ive from the Apple engineering team and featured a specially engraved pin combining his initials, J and I, with the number 50. This band also uniquely features space black buttons on the underside of the connectors, unlike any retail version of the cloud sport band!

With the 13th band in my collection in just a little over a year, I feel like its a good time to review everything. Also Bandbreite‘s Band of the Year Voting inspired me to vote and rank my exciting bands, as seen above.

- Which made me think that Voting/Ranking the own collection would be a nice addition to the app.

- The ability to automatically sort the bands by wear time would also be great. Then you can see how long you have worn which band and recognize favorites. Could be integrated into the widget with the band recommendations. When you change a band, you select it and a timer starts in the background.

It would be exciting to see your top 10!

Our backlog is full of concepts, which seem to cover most of your ideas. Just give us some time. 😉

Been meaning to join this forum and finally found a reason: has anybody seen this before? The white packaging is suspect. But it’s really very cool looking.

Yep. My packaging looked identical. I found it odd that the lug images on the box make it look like they are grey, when they are actually black.

Apple changed the packaging of all Nike bands from black to white after the Fall/2022 release in September. The only two boxes in black are now Black Unity and Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop.
And yes, as far as I know, the lugs on both Summit White/Black and Black/Summit White are mixed up with exactly the opposite color (at least in the beginning).

It is oh-so Apple-y that they need to take artistic license with box illustrations to make them look good (and inaccurate) for their own sake.

Here’s how the bands look irl:

Both are BSL Size 7, Abyss Blue in my collection for little over a year, worn for approx. 60 days.
I know some of you here a veteran band collectors, and I've read about tossing them in the washing mashine to shrink them back. Has anyone here has experience with this?

At what temperature?
Dryer afterwards?
Thanks!

I’ve drying machine’d BSL plenty of times after a hot wash. Empirically I’m convinced shrinking is a myth.

Not sure what it is about Black Unity’s weaving but I’ve noticed it is the tightest BSL and least prone to stretching.

It‘s a little weird. Some folks report that the hot wash / tumble dry method works like a charm, some don‘t get results. I only ever analyzed it once when I bought a used BSL loop that was already stretched out. In this case the band did shrink back, but not for long, i.e. after wearing it again it went back to where it was. Best to just try for yourself.

Edit: actually, it’s best to put them on and off without stretching (much). It‘s easy if you practice for a while. That‘s why my other BSLs aren‘t stretched out at all.
