Got some new and sealed bands for dirt cheap…I guess one person’s trash is another’s treasure. 😁 I actually think gold/red works just fine with a graphite watch.

I've been going back and forth on getting or not getting this. Decided against it because of the name, I hate Apple for recycling names into completely different bands! haha
It’s really hard to pay full price too, knowing that in a year or so, they’ll be going for 40-50% of the original price on resale. The only way I can justify having so many bands is knowing I only paid £15-25 for each. I made an exception with Lake Green, because it’s my favourite type of colour.

I'd rather not think how much I spent building my collection 🙈 especially as in my country the resale market is very limited. I try to buy resale as much as I can, but when I got serious into collecting, the market was at its highest (2020-2021) and discontinued bands went for way more than retail. Now prices have completely dropped.

That being said, I don't buy bands with resale in mind, they're not an investment. They are only there for the joy of collecting and the pleasure of owning/using them.

Just landed: Jet Black S10 46mm, with Starfruit Solo Loop! 🖤💛

I'm pleasantly surprised: it is light, thin, fits snugly and does not look humongous on my (rather thin) wrist.
Quite happy for my first black Apple Watch.

Stay tuned for more combos to come. Starfruit is a stunner on darker AWs for sure.

Exactly, I feel like sometimes I'm nuts for owning so many, but equally I actually don't like any of the current bands (except the Sport Loops for sleep tracking and of course the Sport Band), and so I buy them now before they disappear. Prices have collapsed here too. How many do you own? I actually used to have a few more, but I've given them away as it just gets too many to manage.

Does it have a neon/flourescent appearance in person?

Has anyone compared the new Plum Sport Strap with the Mulberry Sport Strap? I’m new to Apple Watches and have the 2024 Plum (which looks darker than the original Plum) and I’m tempted with the Mulberry. My Plum watch strap looks almost Purple.
+ @MacDevil7334

I have both the mulberry and the new plum! Here are my photos. I can make a side by side comparison tomorrow when it’s light again?

The mulberry is more purplish burgundy, or purplish red wine. Plum is more purple. They’re definitely not a similar colour. I wanted to buy the dark Cherry first, but I decided to get the mulberry, because the dark Cherry and plum are almost the same I think.

Edit to add the first one is the plum 2024 and the second one is the mulberry sport band :)

Dark Cherry is nowhere near as purple as the New Plum. The latter is the first „real purple“ rubber band we got IMO.
So, if I get the Dark Cherry one, then I don’t have a very similar colour to new plum or mulberry? (It’s only 15 euro 😆 I’m very tempted now!)

Here are the side by side comparisons, left = plum 2024, right = mulberry.

First one is in daylight (in my house next to a window) and second one is in the middle of my house where it’s dark.
Thank you. I’ve already got Plum and just managed to get Mulberry

I’ve bought Dark Cherry too. I adore all purples. I don’t have it yet, when I do I’ll post pictures.

Thanks! That would be great, I love all purples as well 😄

Do you have elderberry? That one is 15 euro here now too.. but I can’t figure out if it’s almost the same as Dark Cherry, but then a little bit darker.

I don‘t have Dark Cherry anymore, but from memory I’d say it sits right in the middle between those two.

Saw the new Ultra titanium Milanese in person yesterday. Looks very nice, and is extremely lightweight! Anyone got any reports of wearing it - how’s it feel for a day, etc?

Have we as a thread ever discussed the Bearbrick "Barry McGee" watch band? As far as I can collect, in 2018, Bearbrick released a set of 100% and 400% bear things along with a matching Apple Watch band. Now the normal for things like this is a third party trash band, however this set released with an OEM 44mm White Sport Band that had been printed over with these designs.

Me personally, I think there's a chance that this band was produced *and printed* entirely in-house by Apple. The print wraps around the lugs and pin very flush, which wouldn't be very easy to do. There also exist these very Apple-esque high quality renders of the product, which would take a fair bit of effort for a third party to design in an image manipulation program. (Though, fairly, it's certainly doable.)

Not sure what to make of it. I'm hoping @choreographics can take a deep dive into it.
Definitely thinking this is OEM now. Set out to buy one this week and I think I've tracked down a reasonably priced one. I guess bearbrick collectors only like to sell full sets, so finding someone willing to part with the band only is pretty dang hard.

Secret rare band release!
