I was going to say the same. Dark Cherry is very, very dark and muted. So its purple barely stands out.Dark Cherry is nowhere near as purple as the New Plum. The latter is the first „real purple“ rubber band we got IMO.

That's the review I was looking for. Thanks! I'm no Ultra owner but I do own a S7 Edition in Nat Ti, I occasionally wear an Alpine Loop with this watch. I regret not getting last year's Blue (faded jeans) but I might get the Dark Green at some point. This post is just for fans of Ultra bands…
Went to the Apple Store this past weekend. Knowing Apple product photography is anywhere from slightly to wildly inaccurate, I wanted to see each band for myself. Here are my thoughts:
Alpine Loops
These are my all-time favorite Watch Bands, so I was most excited to see these. I wore my OG Green Alpine Loop to the store because I wanted to compare it the new Dark Green. The new band is the “dark mode” version of the original. It’s very nice but will be a low priority for me personally due to its similarity.

Navy surprised me and became my instant favorite from this year’s set. It’s a totally different band than last year’s awesome Blue which was “washed out” like blue jeans (h/t @athousandbands). This year’s Navy is heavily saturated in contrast, making the band much darker overall and there is a subtle yet noticeable contrast to the slightly brighter loops which creates a nice “pop” in color which really makes the band for me.

Tan is 2nd place for me, but still a winner. The loops really have a pleasant maize color while the band itself is more desaturated than in Apple’s photos. The Dark Green feels specifically made for the black Ultra; Tan actually feels more aimed at Ultras with natural titanium cases.

Trail Loops
The easy winner here is Blue – possibly even the best of all of this year’s Ultra bands. Mind you, it’s actually using the same 2 shades of blue as the Navy Alpine Loop, so this should also be called Navy but isn’t because reasons. Anyway, the brighter, more royal rails + tab really come to life against the dark body which has tiny pink dots on the patterned side which shifts the navy, er, “blue” body ever so slightly towards purple. Great band!

I don’t have much to say about Green or Black. Black is relatively similar to the OG Black/Gray, but it is definitely nice to have a darker, true black option. Green is honestly fairly dull. The shade of green doesn’t have the “forest” quality of the Dark Green Alpine Loop and is not an exciting shade of green at all.

Ocean Bands & Milanese Loops
As for the Oceans, Navy and Black are fairly close to each other and really aren’t exciting at all. However, they are utilitarian as they pair naively with the black Ultra case. Ice Blue is slightly more saturated than Apple’s product photography and is a very cool color. It’s particularly nice with contrasting black titanium hardware.

I really don’t have anything to say about the Milanese Loops that others haven’t already said. They’re surprisingly light and comfortable and look better than I thought they would with the Ultra.
Hope something here is helpful to someone!
Was hoping for a good fall release that screamed halloween to me, since we really only have the same 5 halloween-y bands to choose from. This is a fresh take on it. Nicely done!Another Jet Black showoff. This time around, with a Black/Hyper Grape Nike Sport Band.

It’s always been a debate since the day the leather loop was born into the world, do you make the side you see better or the one other people seeI wasn’t expecting the Nike Green/Grey Sport Loop to look this good on the new Gold Ti watch 😅 It was such a nice surprise! This is by far my favorite combo
Little note: I know Apple suggests wearing the Sport Loop the other way, but I just love the look of the figure stitching on this side😊
Here are my thoughts after wearing the NaTi Milanese Loop for a day: It’s significantly lighter than previous Milanese loops, and I really like its coarse design. I absolutely love the adjustable locking mechanism, which keeps the loop securely in place—unlike the magnets on the previous models. The only downside is that the wider design rubs a bit against the back of my wrist bone, but I haven’t adjusted it yet to see if I can get a better fit.Saw the new Ultra titanium Milanese in person yesterday. Looks very nice, and is extremely lightweight! Anyone got any reports of wearing it - how’s it feel for a day, etc?
This is actually the first loop I’ve worn differently from Apple’s suggestion. The side with the stitches really catches my eye and elevates my mood when I see it😍It’s always been a debate since the day the leather loop was born into the world, do you make the side you see better or the one other people see

It’s strange that their product images show it on backwards which is less secure.
You said secure for sports and implied it was insecure or at least a worse fit to wear the “default” way with the loop on the wearer’s side. Here’s the documentation that comes with the Green/Grey Nike band regarding which way you put it on. It’s strange that their product images show it on backwards which is less secure.

It must depend on personal preference. I tried the Milanese loop extensively both ways, and it always seemed to sit on my wrist better when the loop was on the crown side. Flipping it around didn’t feel quite right for me.You said secure for sports and implied it was insecure or at least a worse fit to wear the “default” way with the loop on the wearer’s side.
I would say looping it this way is just as secure and fits amazingly for the 99.9% of time one is not engaged in water sports.
Hmm I’ll have to try that one to see how it feels. But I don’t think there’s a way to make sport loops meaningfully less secure. It must depend on personal preference. No, they actually show it the other way around..Actually, Apple product images show the “secure method” form a first-person perspective – what you see when you rotate your wrist to view the band, not the watch itself.

Trail loops get the “water sports” default from Apple, contra sport loopThat’s not the view I was referring to. I was referring to the view provided in the post I replied to. As in:

The newer Nike sport loops from the past two years had different types of lugs than the regular ones.
EXACTLY.Trail loops get the “water sports” default from Apple, contra sport loop
I’ve tried it “classic” style and it just felt wrong. Maybe more wrong than going water sports on a sport loop.EXACTLY.
